Deerfield has quality products but their shipping charges are ridiculous. Plus they’re very difficult to communicate with. They don’t answer the phone and they are slow to answer emails.

Foot pegs are an absolute must for me. Wet sand gets packed pretty hard and I need my full body weight to sink the spike into it.

Metal spikes are a game changer. I love my Surf Hippie Phishing spikes

I have the Deerfield just like yours, they are worth every penny. Very secure and the rod comes out easily.

Nice aluminum sand spikes are absolutely necessary. I don't know how many guys I see with the short pvc pipes that keep getting their reels soaked in salt water. A little bit of investment on the spikes will save you money long run on your rod & reel.

I make 85% of my rigs with mono. I always keep a few made with flouro in my tackle bag just because. You and I think the same. I’ve used a single drop made out of 30lb and a 3/0 or 4/0 hook for a few years now. Always enjoy the videos. Keep em coming

I've always been taught that the rod is what catches the fish. The reel is for taking up the slack line. Some beginners mistakenly believe the reel is for dragging the fish in.

Another great video, this question goes back to your last video about when to move, if you're catching small fish like spots or little whiting, how long should you stay?

Last trip I fished my regular spot my first morning, I did ok but had people fishing around me. In the afternoon it was low tide so I went hunting. Found a place close to the road and i found a cut. I caught 13 pompano over the next 3 days out of the spot. Still a novice out of town fisherman but trying something new paid off

2024 is the first year we didn't make our annual from Missouri to Florida . Got some vacation time in July ( not my favorite time to go) and we'll be Florida bound.
