Cole's Brochure's and Trucks
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 2 ก.พ. 2021
Hi there. I make videos on my truck, radios, collectables, fourwheelers, brochures, and other things I think that are cool. In any videos, comment about any sno commanders and sno fiters. Where you have seen them, when you have seen them and any stories about them. I am going to try and upload about three times a week. Thanks!

C'est une machine très fiable
i want this atv i like it
It got sold earlier this year
I love my 79w200
What's it got in it? 318, 360?
360 @@colesbrochuresandtrucks3242
I've goot a '79 w200 green with meyers plow, still in service. love that truck
That Duck taped piece in the bed is a tool someone made to clear the drain holes in the front of the bed. They always get clogged up.
Good point! I didn't think of that
im 15 i have a 1974 dodge power wagon that im rebuilding
You've got a neat piece of history there! Congrats
Thank you very much. I'm learning more about it everyday.
I always wondered why they didn't have more rust resistant metal or even metal treatment on these beauties when these were built if they had to be out in the snow and salt. But then I imagine the price tag on them would of been much higher.
Mine was somewhere around 7000 when new and the original owner had it rustproofed but it only really worked on the rockers panels, my doors, roof, and bedsides are still the rustiest I've ever seen
Nice grabbing the x military up NOW DO NOT SPEND ANY $$$$$ on the commander build an awesome SNO COMMANDER best platform you just snagged take all the goodies off the rotted truck. Remember what i wrote in the vid before 318s 360s come to life headers and bigger carbs nite and day
That's exactly what im going to do. This restoration process is very slow due to family issues and time. I had that m880 completely disassembled within a week since I had the time and the help. That frame is now repaired, sandblasted and powder coated and very soon I will be tearing the axles, springs, drivetrain, and the dash out I'd the commander. Quick speed shop is tearing apart and 80 long bed step side sno commander on his channel. Tha KS for watching and subscribing!
glad to see a lover of dodge p up this gen i was lucky raised by parents owning a dealership selling MOPAR My Grand Father had Dad get 1978 lite blue 3/4 ton SNO COMMANDER MEYERS PLOW and an ELECTRIC DUMP using the pick up bed i was the only GRAND KID he allowed to drive it But He had task/jobs He set up for himself because we would pass by me they would ask to have G Dad remember to come load cow poop hand shovel it where they pointed a finger lol about a ton shit like this earned the right TO LOVE BEING SEEN DRIVING 1978 LITE POWDER BLUE SNO COMMANDER Hope you enjoyed a story/memory as much as i did writing it tear in my eye thank you like and subscribed #!8 check fusible link they were a weak area also motor cranks no spark make sure rotor turns nylon timing gear teeth if so toss double link in 318s 360s if given a way to breath turn into animals 4 barrels and header pipes night and day
Boy that truck sounds pretty cool! Thanks for saying, I finally got to drive it around a few weeks ago and it lost spark immediately. It has the most intermittent spark I've ever seen. Everything I've tried doesn't seem to work. I have not, however checked the fusible link so I'll have to see about that. It will more than likely get a four barrel once it's all redone. Thanks
Also just for your record. 1972, not 1974 was the first year for “3m conspicuous tape” or reflective tape. It was also the first year for power angle, not 74. Late in 1976 was when the dealership was told about the lawsuit over the sno fiter name. So it was 1977 that sno commanders were in full production. My dads personal truck for the blizzard of 78 was a black w200. Anyways. I could even tell you the first year of problematic dashes was 1975 as some were metal(good) and some were plastic. Also even though they went to the np203 full time unit in 1974.5 they originally used the hood spicer yoke until they switched to dana. There is so much info I remember as we were a direct connection dealer starting in 1974. We were performance oriented being near New England dragway. Give me a call sometime. Sno filters started by 1967, not 69, and maybe even before. Only reason I remember is my dad sold one in fall of 66 to my grandfather on my moms side. By the way, that photo you have of the 75 sno fiter with the gentlemen in the bed is my step grandfather Bill Hicks. Hope some of this helps. I would love to pass this information on verbally but will always keep this information part of my family. I like specializing in these 72-80 tin grills especially the plow trucks. We would order half of the trucks with Meyers and half with fishers(not sno fiters commanders. Again, the stripe was NOT an option but standard on all 1972-partial 1978 trucks.
I just figured there wasn't a stripe then since a couple of my advertisements don't have stripes and my 73 or 74 owners manual doesn't have the stripe. I know power angling was optional but wasn't standard until 74, or at least that's what my literature says. I just got to drive my sno commander today after fighting it forever, but sadly there was no snow to plow. I'd love to here anymore info on these trucks if you have the time. Are you on Facebook? I feel like I've seen you somewhere on there before.
Cool. I saw my blue 75 w200 and my old red 74 w200 as well as our dealership FitzgeraldHicks Dodge. Nice. Thank you. I have a lot more stuff on them.
By any chance would you make a short video of the stuff you have?
@@colesbrochuresandtrucks3242 It would take way longer than i have ever been able to have a video share.
Just show me your truck and I will tell you anything you want to know. Also I have the resources to restore the pumps valves etc. During those years i worked in the recon as well as the parts department. I remember looking parts up by microfiche. Then I would pull the parts. On and on.
@@seanfitzgerald3520 well my power angling doesn't work on my running truck and I'm not sure what could be wrong, it has nos angling cylinders, plenty of power steering fluid (I know most say to use atf, but it already had some power steering in it) and the connectors seem alright. I don't know if it makes a difference, but it sat a very long time. I have a slightly different setup that I see more often than the one on the running truck and it has a piece broken on it. It is held on by two screws and there are two of them. They are on the back of the valve and the one ear snapped off. Will this affect it? Also what could cause no power angling?
@@seanfitzgerald3520 also, are you the same Sean as the one on Facebook on the sno fiter and sno commander group? If you are, you could just pm me, it would make it easier and I could send you pictures
Cool Dude....
Thanks
Mine’s in red
That W300 club cab, with For sale sign. Is still for sale?
No way, I found that on an old website that was posted at least 10 or 15 years ago. Sorry
78
I just ran into a sno commander that was a 78 w200 big block 440 4 spd club cab never saw that combination before
I saw one just like that online for sale one time for 800 bucks
nice!
Thanks
I don't know who rebuilds them, but I have the rods, pump, tank, valve control and the lift cyl laying around in my barn. I had it all installed on a 77 dodge M880. It I tested it and it all worked but leaked of course. I have since then converted it to western pump and controls for plowing my yard. If I ever get a good paint job I might install a decal kit. I always thought probably a bunch of O rings, but never took one apart. I still use the mount with old round lights and blade. I always said it was a good deer guard the rest of the year. I live in wi.
I wouldn't be able to get it anyway, I'm in pa. The round lights always look good on dodges. I got a setup in unknown condition off of a w300
Id be interested in the underhood controls
@@dodgeman9567 I still have them. Where are you from?

YES, BRING BACK THE DODGE NAMEPLATE 👏 !!
great video !......miss all my old dodge trucks !
Thanks! They are addicting
Cole, message me. i have a solid sno commander you might be interested in
I can't afford any more trucks
But I might need another.
@@seanfitzgerald3520 Ive got a nice 79 w200. Road worthy, solid New England truck
@@dodgeman9567 feel free to message me so we can talk about it please. Thanks for getting back to me. Sean.
I have a 1979 power wagon with the same Spring pack factory plow truck stickers and all I have no idea why they have the 3/4-1 ton springs or the plates in the bed.
The plates in the bed were for a fith wheel and I'm assuming that's why it has a larger spring pack
Hey Cole, just catching up on your commander vids. Ive noticed that there were a bunch of different plow control valve bodies in studying other underhood vids. keep up the vids!
Thanks! Im always be on the lookout for sno commanders.
Where are you located ? I seen a few of the photos of these trucks from my local marketplace
Most of these photos aren't mine, I just found them online.
my papaw has one in red
I'll give you a little tip on your videos using your phone. Turn your phone over on its side so that it records with the full picture instead of that skinny picture where your phone is standing upright
Thank you, I completely forgot you could do that.
Car manufacturers in the United States do not go by calendar year. The new model Years start October 1st of the previous year. In other words a truck built in October of 77 would be titled as a 1978.
One of the things I forgot to mention was that the vin on the door jamb sticker said 8 as one of the first few numbers. That 8 stands for 1978 even though that vin would have been applied at the factory.
You got some cool stuff with that 78 I don't have any of the documentation like the manual that would have come with the truck or the owner's manual or any of the stuff for the snow plow or none of that with mine
You could check junkyard gloveboxes, but that is still a pretty slim chance. Like I said, it was a one owner truck.
Cool video Cole!
Thank you!
I have a 77-86 upper frame if you want it. Free to a good home.
Is it just a frame or does it have anything else on it.
Some of my trucks made these vids!
Which ones also please tell me what parts you were talking about. Thanks!
@@colesbrochuresandtrucks3242 Send me a PM
sounds like you are in PA. I have some sno commander parts you can have if you need them.
What kind of parts
Sweet truck. Mine’s a power wagon also.
Thank you for commenting!
Great slideshow! I love those Sno-Fiter/Sno-Commanders. I am currently converting my 77 M880 military Power Wagon into a Sno-Fiter. I already have a Meyer plow setup installed from a 75 Sno-Fiter. I still have to install the Auxillary light switch and get it painted and have the stripes put on. I'd like to find the plow control sticker that goes over the yellow plow control knobs
I am sorry, but nobody that I know of is making them, not even online. You could however make one or have a sticker shop make one. I wish I had one, but there aren't many examples still left on the trucks.
Wow what a coincidence that I was looking up sno commander videos since yesterday, then was just watching some others under my search and this one pops up lol. Oh and I watched all ur others previous to this one..good job! And no sorry idk where u can get the stuff rebuilt
Thank you! Not to much people still alive know about this stuff very much anymore. I have original owner's manuals and dealer brochures. If you have any questions, please just comment. I love talking about Sno-Commanders and Sno-Fiters!
@@colesbrochuresandtrucks3242 your very welcome! I agree there's not many who know about those old trucks. I live in Atlantic Canada so most vehicles dont live a long live here. Plow trucks are a huge commodity here. I've never personally seen a sno filter or commander tho cuz most old trucks rot into the ground. Just tonight I finished the install of my old fisher full hydraulic plow, that I removed from my 94 GMC, and put on my 86 318/727 w/3:55s? w150. It was a plow truck for years prior to me and I bought it without the plow, but with the remains of home made fisher plow mounts and a cobbled up 2nd power steering pump. I love 72-93 dodge trucks and especially old plow trucks
@@jared96ek9 Me too! Thanks for commenting and enjoy because this channel is going to be filled with 72-93 Dodge truck stuff. Every time I see a truck older than about the late 80's I look at it as long as I can. I saw and took pictures of a '79 Dodge Sno-Commander today. We pass it every once in awhile and it is still being used for plowing. It is in immaculate condition and has no rot. It is original and has original paint. No rot on the floor, wheel wells, or rockers. Thank you for watching and May God Bless You!
I love tje the pics of the old Dodge trucks. I have a new video coming out on the 78 powerwagon
Awesome! I am going to make one more and then that is the last Sno-Commander slideshow.
Cool
Thank you very much. I am going to make some more videos on sno-commanders and sno-fiters.
Some good information
Thank you! I am going to make a video on everything about sno-commanders and sno-fiters.
I like the pink cab. Those metal door panels are interesting because my son has a 1972 three-quarter ton or D200 and his has metal door panels in it and all of the 100's that I seen in those years all have the plastic ones like mine does so I don't know if the heavier-duty or trucks came with the metal ones or not
I am guessing that you are right because then it would probably be considered a "lower optioned" model. Like I said, it was a lowest optioned sno-commander dump truck.
So are you going to repair the frame or are you replacing it
We found a spare frame on the Facespace. It was originally a stepside. It has a homemade plow mount on it.
Every dodge frame I have dealt with is the worst along the drivers side behind the cab thanks to the fuel tank holding dirt/moisture inside the channel, I didn’t see anything too bad to fix. Rust is just part of messing with the old trucks but you’ll learn tricks to deal with it. Enjoy the old truck, it’s rough enough you can learn and try things on, make mistakes etc. but not too rough that it’s a lost cause. Keep at it, make it your own kind of cool and enjoy the process. And as far as those damn wiper bushings are concerned I have never got em to last more than a day or two, been running without them for years now. Wipers clunk a bit but it beats cussing those bushings.
We actually got a spare frame for 100 bucks so we didn't have to deal with that frame.
I have one and i put a light bar where the original lights are and two 3 inch halos on each side so now it looks like a Can Am Renegade
That sounds pretty cool! Thanks for commenting.
As for that CB radio, back in the day, you had to have a license from the FCC in order to operate a CB radio. My grandfather had a license his numbers were KRG 4940
Yeah, I have a Royce i-612 that has a sticker underneath that says about the FCC license that expires in 1980.
Cool I'm going to like this series of you rebuilding the Power Wagon. I just bought a 1978 Dodge Power Wagon with a 318 myself. Going to be doing some videos on my TH-cam channel as well
Subscribed!
Keep at it, I didn't the same.
Thank you very much!
Watch "Dodge Power Wagon" on TH-cam th-cam.com/video/b58TurfLpxw/w-d-xo.html
Turn your phone 90 degrees will make better video. Best of luck and have fun with the truck.
Thank you very much!
Best grille of the square dodges imo, cool old truck, one good thing about a truck having some age/imperfections is you can actually have fun with it while you’re fixing it up. Those 318s are tough as hell too.
Thanks! I love your channel!
