Interesting that you would refer to yourself as a doormat in your early life. It is natural to become more confident with the experience that ageing brings. My own opinion is that applying the label "Doormat" to yourself is a bit harsh. You are certainly more comfortable in front of people now than on stage at "Up Your Alley" 😄. Excellent public speaking skills!
