Teddy Glacier Mine was established near Camborne in the 1920s by Frederick Richard Blockberger. It was named after his son Theodore (Teddy) who died in 1922. Frederick's son Walter took many photos in the region and compiled photo albums of the mine operations. This presentation gives an overview of the mining operations and shows some of the stunning photographs in the collection.

In 1838, a group of fur traders travelled from the east to Jasper and across the Athabasca Pass to Boat Encampment, at the top of the Big Bend of the Columbia River. On January 28, 1929, the Canadian Pacific Railway Bridge at Surprise Creek, east of Rogers Pass, collapsed, causing the death of Engineer Bertram Woodland and Fireman Jeffrey Griffiths. The event was a tragedy that had far-reaching effects for the railway company.

Revelstoke as a community was deeply impacted by both World War I and World War II. There was close to 100 casualties from this area in World War I, and another 32 in World War II. The economy and way of life were all impacted.

Revelstoke was settled in 1885, with the coming of the Canadian Pacific Railway. The Indigenous Sinixt population had already been mostly displaced into the United States from their traditional Canadian territory. Horace Manning started his first candy store in Revelstoke in 1900. In 1913, he had his new store and Candy Factory built. It was bought by John and Mary Kwong in 1955 and became a Chinese Restaurant. It remained a restaurant until 2023.
