    I work in the Bay Area and level 5 is what I do the most . This is cheap way of doing level 5 thin layer compared to floating the walls with green dot mud they way it’s suppose to be … thicker coat then sand with lights for imperfections 👍🏻

      Green Dot? That stuff is not so easy to sand. Why not Plus3?

      Plus 3 is worse to sand the best mud for level 5 I’d westpac TNT lite

    Hello Melton. What are the pump and tip size recommendation for spraying Final Coat Level 5? What is the minimum Titan pump to shoot this when mixed?

    I’d be pissed if this were my house. You filled the air return with compound so there would forever be dust floating throughout the building, sprayed the pex plumbing making it look like hack work, and sprayed the electrical boxes do they look like garbage. Hopefully the electrician doesn’t have to clean conductors to see which is which...

      This is exactly how it's done. Whether its level 5, or a splatter splatter finish. This is how you do it. Electrician has no issues, never heard of an "air compliant". An compound scraps right off assuming he used oil. I've done this exact same method in residential an commercial for 15+ years.

    If they don’t sand paper that spray on it’s not a level 5 finish. This is a cheap and fast way to do it. Hopefully it gives you perfectly smooth walls.

    • @miguelcruz566
      @miguelcruz566 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Of course they sand it and do a touch up. But I wouldn't call it cheap especially after buying the Graco pump, plus it goes through a lot of material. But its time saving, doesn't wear your body down as much and you'll need less guys on the job.

    Never seen anyone stand that far off a wall to spray. He's loosing 30% product in the air, easily.

    • @nickpeavy6554
      @nickpeavy6554 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No he's not.. any closer you're going to leave splatter streaks. Which you have to sand off. He's doing a grade A job.

      @wind5250 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can't tell how far away he is by depth but if you look at the floor he is about 3 tiles away . A tile is 1 square foot or 12 inches so if you add in the distance of his hand arm and the gun he is actually pretty close since you should be about 12 inches away .

    • @SuperUncleRyan

      It is a product called "Final Coat". It is meant to be a self-leveling "level 5" finish coat.

      Any GC is going to prioritize a excellent finish over an electrician's complaints, but yes I would have made them tape the boxes off....

    • @ouimetco
      @ouimetco 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Surprisingly not much overspray gets into the boxes from normal spray pruning and back rolling. However, this is not a normal job here. He is too far from the wall and also spraying directly into everything. And no back rolling. Only on ceilings would this method be good. Also he has no mask on. Yikes. He’s obviously using an extreme width tip but with a small orifice which is a classic rookie mistake also. Once this dries he will have a tremendous amount of sanding to do since he failed to back roll immediately.
