Started out like a decent story... then went downhill fast into a bunch singular fantasy gibberish that devolved further into a contradictory feely good "We can do it together" pile of rubbish. This story might have gotten you a B- in your high school creative writing class, but it is not going to get you any kudos here on TH-cam where there are are some truly talented Sci-Fi/Fantasy wordsmiths.

Use a Thesaurus, you use the words faint and faintest far too many times. Otherwise I enjoyed the story.

The problem is this is a fight between a cobra that’s never met a mongoose. And a mongoose that has more to fight for then just survival.

I know the person that wrote this story knows absolutely fuck all about true ninjas and got his information from sources like Naruto and anime just from 1 line. "Send just me," A ninja would ask for 12 men and women who are of similar height and build to themselves and dress them in identical outfits. Smoke bombs already had sufficient irritants from just the smoke. They also had hollowed out eggs filled with irritants that would be thrown into an opponents eyes and mouth. Ninjas weren't warriors they were survivalists who were often hired to steal information or to be a spy, usually blending in the background as a traveling salesman, monk, or other everyday occupation. That aside, this is poorly thought out because a modern-day ninja said it himself that ninjas as we know them have no place place in the modern day. You know who the modern day ninjas are? Spec-ops units like US Army Rangers, SAS, Navy Seals, and other similar units. You need to someone to perform some ninja shit, ask an Army Ranger. They literally go behind enemy lines to perform sabotage or reconnaissance as the primary job description.
