Apollonia died he came home and told Kay he loved her and cared about her. Kay left he got diabetes aged over night stopped smoking drinking killing, never took the ring of his finger or touched another woman for the rest of his life After his father gave him advice " Women and children can be careless men can not be ".... he turned himself into a savage animal to protect Kay so what happened in Sicily wouldn't happen to a woman he actually loved.... That is when he decided to wack all the families so no mafia war would ever happen again......

When mafia war began Michael pushed Kay away from him and his family. He didn't allow her anywhere near them.... He chased Apollonia in the middle of the mafia war, conned her into marrying him at the hight of the danger for sex and killed her with the wedding. As he said to Kay in the book when thry reunited " You qre the only one I have ever had qny affection for. The only one I care about. I could have chased you, I could have conned you I didn't wanna do that to you ".... He brought Kay back into his life only after he made plan to legitimize the business, after je made sure it was safe for her...... Than and only than he went to New England...... to get Kay, only woman he loved with his heart and cared about her....

He threatened to murder her father if he tells anyone about him hiding there He didn't give a fuck if she knew he was a criminal coming from the mafia family, hiding from the police He came into her house disheveled and with armed bodyguards He didn't even say hello.... he never bothered to speak to her... He never looked at her during wedding He never told his parents he met her, noone knew he got married. He laughed at the idea that she wanted to be American wife He never told her about mafia war or that she was in danger being attached to him at that moment. Right before he met her Don Tomassino had warned him " Your enemies know that you are in Sicily ".... they found him. Everybody knew he was in Sicily noone knew where .....Village circus of their wedding during which Michael was completely detached is how they found him.....how he killed her...

Apollonia was a goldigger who married him for money. As it was written in q book " Marriage was set up in two weeks bc she thought he was rich "... Michael married Apollonia bc he had to....since there was no sex before marriage in Sicily so to satisfy his desire he has to marry her.... Shr is thunderbolt...... which is eraction. Thunderbolt is not romantic feeling which is why her father ran into his Cafe when he realized that chick filled in all the right places was his daughter..... Sin querer justificar ni tampoco juzgar a nadie, Michael a fin de cuentas no deja de ser víctima de las circunstancias, más allá de lo despiadado que era, no es discutible que amaba a su familia y quiso hacerlo todo por ellos, al inicio de la segunda película, cuando le besan la mano y lo declaran Don se puede ver la triste cara de Michael, los ojos llorosos, sabiendo que está aceptando un destino y siendo la persona que nunca quiso, todo por su familia. Heredó la inteligencia de Vito, pero no ese lado sensible que le permitió mantener el amor y unión. Dicho esto , tengo una interpretación para la muerte de Michael, el hecho de que haya durado hasta muy viejo y haya sobrevivido a TODOS los intentos de homicidio hacia él, puede entenderse como que Dios, el Universo o lo que quieran creer (dentro de la saga) no le dejó morir hasta que no pague por sus acciones, al final de todo cuando se quedó sin absolutamente nada (excepto dinero), destruido, muerto en vida, ahí fue cuando Dios le dijo "Ya has pagado, puedes descansar". Puede interpretarse como otra forma de redención, una extremadamente amarga, pero redención ya que pagó por todo.

Pobre Michael. No hay nadie con él. Todo el poder y el dinero, no le permitieron conservar, de hecho, le arrebataron, a aquellos que amaba,; que eran su razon de ser y vivir. Cuando su vida se apaga no hay NADIE con él, para un último adiós. No merecía terminar así. 🥺
