    Is it built or…? I had my tuner increase my stock LS3 rev limiter to 6800 RPM, and even then, I didn’t think it was necessary (stock limiter is at 6500, I think). I usually try to shift a bit after 6000, but by 6300, as torque and power falls off the high end by that point.

      Yeah it has GPI's SS4 cam with supporting mods i.e. PAC .700 springs, trunnion bushings, hollow stem valves, ported heads, and a short runner aluminum intake manifold to name a few. It makes peak power at 7600 but holds its head up well to 8000 rpm. The stock manifold is done at 6500ish.

      Mines the auto with 3.91 gears and when they did the heads recently, I had them install hollow stem intake valves. Eventually a TH400 trans is going in it

    Look like it puts a lot more strain on the motor? Not sure what setup you are running but it sounds amazing what headers are you running?

      Thanks! I wouldn't say strain, the converter gets the motor into its powerband, peak torque is made at 5k rpm, and it shifts at 7700rpm. But the valvetrain has been beefed up to handle it. Trans temps stay below 180. I have TSP 2" long tubes on it with dumps. Consistent 60' in the 1.5x territory.

      Thanks! And yep, thats an LOD X-1 manifold. I like it. It shines above 7k rpm, and will be really happy when the Procharger goes on! The LOD wants to eat and eat. I have the SS4 flycut cam, which seems to be the limiting factor in the car's powerband, as the combo makes peak power at 7600 and starts to roll over at 7800rpm.

Man I wish I had gone that route when I was n/a unfortunate it was still newer and not much real world testing that I could find even though gpi was saying good things about it. And damn fly cut cam ,lol I knew she was chopping hard I had really thought it was a f35 but you surprised me with the fly cut. Sounds like you got her dialed in for real and she is super clean. Also I’m gonna watch your guitar vids I play bass, piano and guitar. Looks like you get down in a lot of the same things look forward to talking to you in the future.

      Thanks. I like it. It definitely doesn't drive like stock, with my cam and combo. The rpms are more to the right, and it gets there quick. Off the line it flashes to 4800 rpm and redlines at 7600 rpm.

      It went from 11.32 in November '18 to 11.079 in November '19 with the LOD, Skinnies up front, and seats out(passenger and rear). So .1 - .15 give or take by itself, then factor in the weight reduction

      @@Verocity00 i was at 474rwhp @ 6400 rpm then with the LOD I ended up with 483rwhp @ 7600 rpm. Which wasn't impressive in the dyno aspect in a number to numbers game. as some of my Camaro5 buddies gained much more HP. But the ET is the truth, and I picked up. The powerband got pushed much higher, and the car is just faster.

      @@chrisss8512 Appreciate the insight. Your setup is very similar to mine. I also have a 4k stall and a all of the other things that come with a cammed build. My G8 ran 11.6 in the summer Kentucky weather on a ported LS3 mani. It looks like I will pickup roughly 50 horsepower from 5,000-7000 rpms when looking at GPI's data. With that I'll loose about 16 tq avg also. It sounds like the top end is really opened up with this mani.

      @@Verocity00 yeah it will be strong in the upper rpm range. My 60' ft times stayed relatively the same, so the torque loss that a lot of people fear just wasn't a thing with mine. It ended up really picking up through the mid to high rpm range, 2 tenths was gained in the 1/8

      @@ryanwharton2531 hey Ryan, I'm in TN. Its really hard to make 500rwhp on the L99 without doing the heads. Here is a video of mine going 11.079. The 483rwhp is kind of deceiving, its just a really well dialed-in combo thats going to end up with a centri blower.     How do you like the lod intake and when you got it tuned was it tuned on e85 your numbers are solid for sure.

      I like it, i am tuned for 93 octane. Just picked up a NW 102mm throttle body too so I'll end up taking that to gpi for a new tune and a valve spring refresh. I was running 11.4s in that video since it was in July heat but that fall I managed an 11.079

      @@chrisss8512 That 102 tb will definitely help with air flow and man that heat aint no joke thats a big difference fall vs summer gpi does great work with a few tweaks i really think you would have hit 10.9 when you ran that 11.0 do you have a Instagram?

    Hi, did you get this time with just the SS4 cam? stock intake, stock heads and stock wheels up front (no skinnies) ?

      This was with the ss4, LOD intake, skinnies, stock heads and TB. Valvetrain upgrades such as springs, lifters, bushed trunnions. 4k converter (flashes to 4800 off the line), and 3.91 gears through the 6L80 trans

      Nice. How much of a difference in ET and mph would skinnies make? Would you say 0.2 / 2mph gain over stock wheels?

      @@steve1714 sorry didn't see this when posted. Just switching to skinnies likely wouldn't get you .2 seconds. You'd be looking at a bit less or around .1 due to the rotational mass savings. Every little helps though

      Nope, I didn't bother with it, when the entire bushing popped out, the metal piece was with it. They were easy, the main pain was to get the socket emplaced between the bushing and the metal piece of the body that protrudes downward into the rear bushings. The front ones don't have the issue

    I was thinking of installing this with headers. What rpm are you at on highway speed like 75-80mph. And how is 1st and 2nd gear in your car

      I'm at 2500 cruising at 75mph. 1st gear the converter flashes to 4800 then shifts at 7600 RPM and drops to 6000, then 2nd to 3rd gear shifts at 7400. 60' time is 1.5 seconds

      Juan LSX I just got mine installed with the truetrac diff. If you have a auto, I would recommend going with a torque converter first. I wish I would’ve gotten a T/Q and a cam first before doing minor bolts on and gears. Just my opinion. I’m still in the process of breaking them in but from the time I started driving it I felt the difference.

      Yeah I like the 3.91 for my application and how its set up for now. Its a pretty dialed in combo and I believe I've just about squeezed all I can out of it in its current state

      Hey there. Im fbos with 3200 circle d stall with 391s. In in talks with my tuner about my cam. I dont even notice the 3200 in the car. Im looking at 3800 to 4000 stall. Just wondering if you notice a big difference just in around town. Does the car rev fairly high before it moves or is it like my 3200...kinda drives normal. Thanks.

      @@modernmusclecar1904 I am just now seeing this, sorry for the super late reply! So at low throttle the car is sorta sluggish. At anything about 15%-25% its pretty strong because the converter flashes higher. If you give it full throttle with street tires it breaks loose and starts to get squirrelly at 60mph. With Mickey Thompsons it still hooks decently in warm weather on the street. I'll have to do another video sometime. Check out the rest of the channel for some drag racing videos and to see what it does on a prepper surface.
