    How did this turn out for the customer? If I understand correctly, the sudden drop in boost pressure paired with sustained high engine speed during shifting is what is causing the enrichment, right before the engine speed drops when the clutch reengages? Is the feedback from the closed loop understanding that the boost pressure has significantly decreased while engine speed has stayed the same and is trying to compensate for it? Could the changes you made be at all harmful to the engine, or not so much because an engine speed of 5500rpm in a vacuum is an impossibility in a turbocharged motor? Thanks for the great video as always.

    So i will add one thing here. I have been tuning ecm link sense 2009 have done hundreds of cars ect. Nothing in here is per say wrong but if you notice your lb/min of airflow looked like it max'd at mid 40lb/min. When doing SD to make that accurate i like to set VE to 100 at 5-5500rpm then adjust global fuel to hit 100 ve. Then do rest like you have. When doing it this way the lb/min will be very accurate vs HP on dyno. So say car makes 55lb/min, the car will make right at 550whp depending on dyno and compression ratio ect. To do it this way thought a person has to know what is a normal expected global fuel % to be able to tell if it requires a global number out of the ordinary as that would show a fuel supply issue. I have seen people do it much worse though then this video tuning wise with ecm link, More of a even though car is hitting the target fuel its calculation of air flow is wrong. This is the way us old boys do it so the air flow calculation match's hp.

    • @Morgamania2
      @Morgamania2 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The IAC in this car is part of the Jester MAF. I'm actually on speed density on the AEM so the MAF is generally ignored. The only value coming from it that is used is the IAT. Ideally I'd delete the MAF and just install an IAT after the intercoolers. The Jester MAF is great for people on Chrome as it reads farther than the stock MAF helping you to get beyond the theoretical ~400 horsepower limitation.

    What about the electrical connections?

    • @Morgamania2
      @Morgamania2 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's pretty straight forward. There are only two wires and polarity doesn't matter. Take one wire and connect it to a switched 12 volt power source. The other wire goes to the pin on your ECU that manages the wastegate duty cycle output. That will vary based on the ECU you are using so refer to the pinout in your ECU manual.

    So how do you adjust the boost say you want to run 10 more pounds only

      Hi, I apologize for the late reply. Through the tuning on your ECU you can command more or less wastegate duty cycle (WGDC) to the solenoid. The more WGDC the harder the solenoid works to keep the wastegates from seeing any pressure, thus more boost. How much WGDC at a given RPM is where your tuning comes into play and will determine how much WGDC is needed to gain 10 pounds of boost. You start out doing the open loop boost tuning to determine these amounts of duty cycle needed for your boost goals. Then you finish things up with closed loop boost tuning to keep the boost from over or under boosting.

    Will this tutorial be of any use for 3G Eclipses. Particularly the 6G72 engines?

    Sad News: Terrorist Hunt, Hostage Rescue, etc have been removed from Siege as of 11/28/2023. I've played R6 since Raven Shield. So more than a decade. The shift in Siege to PVP was understandable but I've always played TH whether solo or co-op online. To this day I've enjoyed just jumping on solo to play it still. To be force fed an update that says I can't do that anymore is a sad day for me. At least in the old days you could just put the disk in and play the original game. Now what? I have to go back to Vegas 2? WTF?

    CORRECTION: Please note for the AFR gauge 5 volt input on the 2nd generation 3000GT/Stealth it is pin 77, not 75! (75 is for AEM series 2 modules)

    Great video and great tuning strategy... now i just need to find an AEM EMS for sale... what 1/4 mile times are expected in a 500 WHP 3000GT VR4?

      Thank you so very much! I appreciate the kind sentiment. AEM has gotten out of the tuning business so the only way to get a unit is on the used market. (There are some out there but prices will start to rise I suspect.) Most of my new clients are going with Haltech Elite 2500 which I highly recommend. Hard to say what 1/4 mile times can be got from 500 HP here. There are a lot of additional factors including launch control (available in AEM and others), clutch and transmission, and of course....the driver!
