Singleton Chronicles 2: Toska's Edit.

Mind the very ridiculous misplay at the end please, my mind was clearly 4lsewhere. I shoulda played bolt and ally, for a potential clear but I wasn't really all in on the game.

This is the start of a collection of videos I am going to do in the last couple weeks to archive my favorite decks and some gameplay so we can have something to look back on when nostalgia hits us hard. In this we break down a few different types of battlemage you will see along with a few tips on how to play against it, how to play it, and what to expect. We didn't really cover much if any MidBM, but I plan on doing an entire episode in general on Blue Midrange as it's essentially it's own deck archetype with slightly varied flavor between the chosen colors.

Sorry for the displeasure this may have caused you while viewing. Still trying to improve every day, we hope you will be patient with us as we start to release more and more content more frequently.

Talking about the different types of decks. Aggro, Midrange and Control, and calling out some people who we see misbehavin' on the ladder.. Remember kids, Don't play workshop... It's the one thing you should take away from this series over anything else is that workshop is a toxic card. Please, do the game a favor and just don't. Good to see you uploading again. Am on holiday so can watch at my leisure 😀
First one here ,🎉
Nice series! Toska's edit is definitely a better version since it runs balmora ;)
Balmoraaaa, boooooooo. Most ridiculous card in the game, coded improperly, not true random, boooooo
Love the idea of this series! To bad this wont save TESL but its better than nothing... keep it up dude!
It does feel like ice storm always shows up. I like to vicious dreugh in most decks that don’t have support removal colors normally.
and glad you mentioned piercing twilight - it's an auto include for me in blue decks. I also like mausoleum delver - very funny if you get the chance to galyn it as well.
good to see you both back - would love the cat to make a cameo appearance though :)
Do you mean like, my cat? Or
@@AyRossNPO haha yes I could hear your kitty in the background. I like to think it's a secret khaajit.
So lovely to hear Mr Death mentioned, we used to have so many hilarious friendly games…he was superb at funny but also functional builds. I actually don’t mind goblins, I would always rather play against them than alduin/parth loop and have a good win rate against them. I just keep their board clear and chip away at their health. Three feather warchief is good cheap removal in any deck, not just goblins.
My favorite deck I've been playing recently is my green/purple deck i named mana with the goal of summoning martin septim at 17 mana. Slowly unlocking better cards and making tweaks. Same with my yellow/purple dragon deck, finally have alduin and it seems kind of cringe but works pretty well
I’m not sure if it’s just me but I can only hear one of you…. Edit: audio gets better about 6 minutes in
Nice one
Fingers of mountain is one of my favorite cards just because other blue damage spells can’t get around creature wards.
Great, see you soon! (AmestistaDorata)
Shadow rambling to himself was “good enough.” It was still interesting…it's just that the banter and interplay between you both is better, haha. Totally agree about Tel Vos, he has saved me many times against Market Decks. Glad that Mr Death is not forgotten, we used to play some hilarious friendlies. Stampede Sentinel that you mentioned is also great with Imposters Mission when you want a laugh.
I hate market decks because of the high chance that I never get another turn when rootbender goes down.
@@michaelbayley9432 yes. The reason I dislike decks like Market is that part of the joy of the game is interacting with your opponent....trying to play your best and outwit them. Market and similar mechanics totally ignore that.
Great idea to go through the different deck types from all angles, love it!
Thx for the great talk bois
BATTLEMAGE! omg, great show guys. I love BM so much, burn, PBM, atro! fun stuff.
Hey, glad you enjoyed it, mate. We also love battlemage, haha. I'll have the deck codes for the decks we talked about in the description by the end of tomorrow night at the latest.
so true regarding the ideal ways to play cards, especially if you're a perfectionist type person. I get caught in that trap all the time xD as for move/cover: I think it would be better to have more counters - more actions/creatures with remove/steal cover effects, a support with "all shadow lanes become field lanes" and a neutral creature with "enemy creatures can't gain cover" effect. also, wouldn't it be nice and logical if shackled creatures couldn't move? keep up the good work :)
I love this youtube series but honestly 90% of stuff shadow says I want to respond with "well no shit"
Hahaha so what about what I say then? Hahaha
This is definitely coming.
Good stuff guys! Lots of valuable tips. I’d love to hear more detail on navigating the Meta. Concrete examples would be good, like it’s gobs day, what to do? It’s Scout Paarth loop day, it’s hyper-Aggro day, it’s Telvanni day, etc… Thanks!
I think I prefer agro oddly just because I want to play vs more people seeing a lot of the similar strategies means I’m more likely to see something interesting if I can match quickly. I ran into someone doing a consume dagoth deck which I wouldn’t have seen in otherwise playing control just due to game length.
This is a very good response. I honestly never even thought about that. (Probably because I'm the guy making the cool stuff like that consume dagoth you mentioned there.) But, overall, this is a fantastic take, thanks for the response mate.
31:00 In my experience, a lot of control players has a weak self confidence. Very often they are d-bags, who spam "prepare to die!" -emotes when they know they are winning. They radiate nothing, but toxic fumes and small dick energy. Pretty much the same with invade players. Not all of them, but still the most of them. Or I've just been unlucky with match ups and met too many d-bags.
I enjoy these a lot. Thanks guys! 👍
Didn't even mention me for the content creators, are we even bros 😂
New TH-cam account whodis?
Nice! Only found this by accident (comment on Sly’s channel). Maybe include TESL/Legends in the tittles, helps to make findable for new players. Love that you guys do this! 👍
Didn’t know it was called tempo
I like to play workshop versus AI along with mudcrab merchant, merchant's camel, barbas and night to remember for rng fun enhancement :) how about consume or shackle telvanni? pretty interesting mechanics, especially consume.
I've done both, and both together actually, but sure I can make one for the video tonight
Hey, sorry about my comment. I was obviously having a bad night, and I can’t expect people to play as fast as I do. I have played you since and all the games have been normal speed. I’m a bith for posting that.
I have a strange request….. I like to play late into the night. Most people this time of day move fast, and it’s fun. But whenever I play against you, I see the green arrow on your side almost every turn, starting at turn 1. And it’s really hard to have fun when you just wait and watch the other player hover their cards. Any chance you can play just a little faster? Thanks
what's your time region?
2:19 wait he actually thought Zeus was spelled "Zues"? Lmfao I thought he just made a typo.
Ok I am giggling about the swearing disclaimer….it’s not really swearing when it has become part of your daily vocabulary
Hahahahahaha
you aren't overtaking joe rogan with titles like that, just sayin'...
What would be a better title then?
Idk Andy, maybe one that doesn't include the mention of a phallus.
Deck... Lol@@levanbitadze5272
great stuff, definitely need more :) the infamous yagrum's workshop... the only parallel I can draw is ulfric's uprising, and that is a one-time action with a cost of 7 (although, it can have bigger impact with a proper set-up). did Sparkypants even explain the thought process behind making this card? good thing they didn't make a card that could turn non-neutrals in your hand or deck into neutrals xD
Am enjoying the banter between you. One of the things I love about TESL - other than the music and art - are the friendships. There are people who have become friends outside of the game. Also enjoyed the debate about running 3 copies v 2 copies of a card….I like quirky stuff. Like Abnars Ark - where you have Abnar and 2 of each creature.
Really fun to see some friendlies between two talented players
Great to have you here in youtube
Feels good to be here mate. I plan on making plenty of content as well. This here is just the beginning.
Shadow still echoes :(
Yes, unfortunately... We are hoping by next episode to have this all fixed 100 percent. Please bare with us. Other than that obvious issue, how did you like it? And I guess you must have seen the other one as well? Any feedback?
@@AyRossNPO, it's ok, the issue is not critical. yeah, I have seen the other one, I just rarely comment :) overall, I like the idea of you playing different decks and explaining board states, card synergies, interactions, gameplay nuances etc. I think it's the best way to learn the ropes. maybe, some deckbuilding explanation in the future episodes? or deep dive into game mechanics?
@@zest532 All this and more to come, I will also do a step by step process for building and how I generally build a good deck with some examples of top decks I've made in the past.
Damn
Holy shit dude
Nice
Will be nicer when I kill em, hahahaha
Unbelievable, I'm speechless.
Hahaha, you should check out the one against the Ball and Chain giant.
