good game, you spent quite a bit of time trying to intuit lines instead of actually calculating
I really like watching your streams, but I think as a chess streamer, you need to learn to say the moves out loud. Like Bishop g4. I notice you say "this goes here" and "rook goes here" instead.
The username of the first opponent was superb!
Bro I love you I think if you make shorts you get more sub but keep going make video❤
that is the Arabian Checkmate!!
Bro I would at the level untill 1800 dont resign so fast. Surprinsingly many people still blinder or stalemate at higher intermediate levels
Always nice when you make a tricky move and then just wait what happens because you cannot calculate it exactly😂
keep working on it you will get beter i started playing 3 years ago and am doing well..learn some plays for black and white...learn italian ,,,,,,ponziani and kings indian for black....cheers
"i actually made the right moves somehow" also me reviewing my own games hahhah you and me both brother
4:14 g4 forks your knight and bishop! be careful!
14:08 The knight he moved is hanging because its defender is pinned (Nevermind you saw it after that move and took it)
I got recommended this video. I like playing chess and I watch your other channel FKG plays where you play New York Times games.
Nice game 💪🏽
I added you on Chess brother Olevski
I really don't understand why you resigned. 1. When he forked you, you could have attacked his rook with your king 2. You were then going to promote the pawn anyway, which as far as I could tell was unstoppable.
Ok saying you don't understand WHY I resigned is dumb. Just say you think I missed something. Also after looking at the review...I was losing.
@@FGKChess I guess I am "dumb" then :) Thanks for the kind words. The review is based off an engine, which assumes perfect play. So, yes if you had been playing a team of 5 GMs then I would most certainly consider you to have been losing, but having a queen against a bishop and a knight then I would back you to win that against a 1400-1700 more often than not. I think you're better at this game than you realise, and that's why it's disappointing seeing you quit.
hey i want suggest you try to learn sicilian deffense, that's opening for black it's actually good
You shouldn't resign there, if he takes your rook you promote to a queen if you go king b5 not the way you analysed, play more blitz I think you need training in getting faster in recognising moves and patterns
Yep that was frustrating to see how quickly the towel was thrown in
1)Chess elements by yasser seirawan ( on chessbrah channel) 2) silman's endgame course ( on ben finegold channel) 3) tactics puzzles 4) progressive opening knowledge as a long term process 5)???? 6)profit maybe Good luck!
Maybe playing more blitz is a good idea
Hi
I have a 11 win streak from lessons and chess videos and shorts, you should try that
Nice game
That game was fun, I am personally a huge fan of trying stuff and see how it pans out, and the time scramble made it all very exciting to watch Also, no piece sound today ?
Thank you for letting me know about the piece sound. I am recording other content and I turn off the browser sound for that. I will have to make sure I don't forget about that in the future.
LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I would love to watch you play chess on stream (I really like your TH-cam videos too). Your thoughts and actions are so much more relatable to a lower rated player like me as opposed to say Hikaru or Danya. Super high rated players in general are kinda boring because they never make any mistakes. It’s like watching two computers play each other.
Bro, he literally just came back from a break because he was burnt out and your suggestion is that he plays even more and has even less flexibility? Wow. Do whatever works for you Kenny. I and many others will be watching whatever you throw at us.
@@listey I was suggesting that I like his content so much I’m willing to watch a stream of it for 3-4 hours. I’m not his boss, lol, it’s literally just a suggestion.
Hey man welcome back 🎉
I would recommend to just play simply 3 games per day to avoid playing too mechanically. Trust the process💪🏽
Nice mate! Been missing your vids!
I think the cropping of the clocks and analysis is a bit off-centered
I was screaming at you to get your pieces out at like 14 mins holy moly lol. One thing at these elos that you will lose a lot if you have a bad habit of doing like right now is not developing your pieces. Even if you have a piece advantage, having more pieces than your enemy of course, it doesn't matter at all if you don't get your knights, rooks, or bishops out. You were not utilizing your knight and rook, therefore preventing you from making a stronger attack and countering your enemy when they make an attack on you. tldr: it's what you can do with your pieces that give you that advantage in your positional play or tactical play. It's not good because your pieces are totally useless and they are just stuck doing basically nothing.
I decided to make a push with my kingside pawns. Late in the game I made a miscalculation by taking the pawn with the knight. After that I had to respond to his moves. There wasn't any good opportunity late game to get my pieces out.
Start from where you are. It feels too repetitive if you start over.
Perspmaééy I'd like it if you kept counting from where you were because I feel like starting back from 0 would sweep under the rug a lot of the work that you put in to get there, and it would be kinda weird anyway to have the same numbers twice I think
5:00
Try playing games that are actually fun 😁
Gl buddy
Taking a break is the best way to ensure you continue to improve. I've found that I'm better able to find the best moves when my mind is fresh, as opposed to dedicating hours a day to grinding rated games. It's normal for the quality of your play to fluctuate, especially when you're fatigued, so don't be too hard on yourself
around 21:00 the king G5 move is the only move (pawn to g5 is mistake ) becasue this is called opposition . It gives you opportunity to push out the opponent king(because he is in zungzwang ) so at the end YOUR KING can control square on witch pawn promotes ! Otherwise opponent king is not allowing you to breakthrough to support your pawn with the king . It is absolute basic chess stuff for how to promote a pawn with only kings on the board !
2:42 ??????? what
Happens to all of us. Chess is complicated.
Your performance drops because your strength is based on your ability to calculate, as opposed to the conceptual understanding of the position. Hence your performance declines when you are cognitively exhausted. You will be on and off if you continue this way of playing. You need to use more concepts during games, because this reduces use of energy.
Loved it.
You should decide in advance how long you plan to play in a session. Then you set the alarm, for example, two or three hours later. If you can't quit, even though you've decided to do so, then it's an addiction that needs to be dealt with first. Game addiction is a serious issue that can ruin the quality of life.
Sucks that you won't be uploading but it's a good decision, forcing yourself to play is mentally exhausting, and if you aren't in the mood you'll just end up getting constantly angry and start hating the game, so yeah, your mental health is more important than funny horses on a virtual board, you made the right choice.
your videos have become a daily routine for me so i look forward to your return. as for the final puzzle, it is a concept known as king opposition if you are curious to look it up and study it some other time.
The strategy to record vids until you reach a certain ELO is not productive, it will not make a you a better player and it is mentally draining. You do not get better by playing not stop. You get better by studying 70% - playing 30% and the max amount of time you allocate to chess all together should be 2-3 hours a day max.
Watching you miss mate in 1 with almost 4 minutes on the clock was painful haha
That checkmate what something you should have seen mate😂
Wow you can mate in 1 in that game
When I'm having a day like this I like to write down all the things bothering me and then come up with a plan for how to improve these things. Often if I write things down it's much easier to manage than having all the thoughts running in my head. It's obviously different for everyone but I find I'm more likely to be irritable if I don't have a good balance of mental and physical tiredness. That might then have an impact on my sleep pattern, my eating habits, my willingness to do exercise or connect with friends etc. But there's usually a way to get a plan in place to improve in each area, and it's not usually anything particularly complex.
missed 2 forkss gg
