You're right that a 2x drivetrain can slightly increase the risk of the chain falling off during rough rides, but it offers a wider gear range, which is great for handling varied terrain, especially on climbs. Great question! The North Face Alta Vista Jacket does not specifically mention using "Valle Vista Stretch" in its materials. The jacket is designed to be packable, waterproof, and made from recycled materials, but it doesn't emphasize a stretch fabric like some other outdoor gear.

Sustainability is huge! We love that there are options to repair Chacos instead of having to replace them!

That may be, but to use the Re-Chaco program, it will cost $50 for them to resole a sandal, $20 to fix a sticky strap, etc. Then add the cost of shipping, etc., and they're kind of trying to have it both ways. They can claim they're about sustainability, but keep the cost of that sustainability close enough to the cost of buying new that new sales stay up while they get virtue points.
