That high school EVH imitator doesn't need a pedalboard, man. That is a Katana 100 amp, it has built in tons of Boss effects, don't u know this amp?
Cam, first guy was ALL Edward Van Halen: Little Guitars, Mean Streets, Eruption, Tapping from the solo of Live Without a Net (?)
Ahh that’s good to know, I only recognized eruption so I was impressed with his ear, still gotta give him credit for the jumping 😅 (I’m sure he learned that from Edward too)
NUMBER ONE PROBLEM THEY DON'T LISTEN TO REV. GARY DAVIS, BEST GUITAR PLAYER!
Most electrical shredders should perform in the circus. It is nothing more than a soulless motorical act with the intention to impress.
😂
in my opinion i cant stand eruption and 80s guitar and its effect on guitar music. ever since the 80s people people approach the guitar as a craft and not about music. so we have a billion guitarrists practicing and hardly anyone is making music. and when they make music its more just a facade of showing how they practiced. i think it comes from the male mind, how it wants objectivity and to be able to judge something when making music is mysterious and sometimes ineffable as to what makes it good. in a way i can see the crossover with classical music. it's like classical except they aren't classically trained and not as good. when the strenght of rock music is in its creativity and expressive aspect which often comes out as sloppy. But you're not considered a good guitar player anymore if you are sloppy, and you see messages on videos of Hendrix, Zappa, Frusciante playing guitar saying how they suck cuz they aren't precise or as technical like their favorite technical guitar players who just practice licks 12 hours a day. the entire value system has changed. And in my opinion the less technical players are more sophisticated because making good music is a lot harder than moving fingers around on a piece of wood. In a way I think it's cowardly because people don't want to take the risk and vulnerability of being an artist they just want to be rated on how proficient they are
Interesting, I appreciate your input
Shredding is to music/guitar as typing is to literature.
Much love on the reply. Been practicing for a little over two years now and it is just the beginning. Yeah I gave my self a little break and it seems to have helped. Hoping it’s not a constant lingering thing I have to deal with. Looking forward to more content
this is impossible to watch STFU for one second
Thanks for watching!
You gotta get that last kid to do a reaction log on Jacob Collier.
😂😂😂
He’s playing little guitars by Van Halen. Diver down album
The goal of compressing a single instrument track like this is not getting a fuller or fatter audio. The goal is to make something that was miked up closeish to sound more natural. Learning to hear the need for compression takes some practice, but once you do you also know what settings to use on it to achieve something that isn't all over the place with peaks and as such sounds more like what human ear would hear. Luckily, the "do it with taste" rule protects one until they actually know what you're doing. Ok ok I'm subscribing.
It would be great if you would just let the video run for more than 3 seconds at a time man. Just saying!
If I let the video run for longer than three seconds the creature that I keep at bay will emerge from its dimension and consume our planet. I do this for you
Glad you put the box there... excellent advice on how to play Fugues.
You should check out Lucas Brar's channel for an eclectic mix of classical guitar/comedy/jazz guitar. Sadly, he only posts occasionally now.
Do you know the character Gilfoyle from Silicon Valley? You remind me so much of him, especially when you are being sarcastic. You're hilarious man.
I'm pretty sure I've seen you shred on electric tho
😅
Kid me is thinking the first guy is the coolest while I’m at home practicing my rest stroke. Adult me is knowing that watching Cameron correct the first guys hand posture is actually the coolest :)
If these kids could teleport themselves back into the 90s, they'd have a cult following at school
So true
I think you mean the 80s. As a 90s kid I can attest people wouldn’t have given two shits except for the metalhead table.
I remember your talent show performance was all rockstar. There is still hope for the first kid lol. Btw do you have a recording of yours
Nah they didn’t let anyone record (probably to prevent bullying)
😂Idk dood, my trumpet is pretty loud and can compete with electric!
Wish that kid woulda smashed the guitar on bball field.
He might have dinged his headstock with that bow at the end
this is the only channel ever that gives the viewer, in equal measure, classical guitar commentary/advice, and merciless bullying of children. love it. unsubscribed.
😎
These “guitar scale” sheets never worked for me. I’m finally figuring some stuff out all from thinking about intervals and triads. It’s instantly musical. Then the scales start to actually make sense to me.
If I had to chose between Williams or Bream I would chose Sonny Sharrock…
Steven Ridley, is Scamism. He reminds me of David Koresh,
I've filed for a refund and Ridley Academy. of course he will not. He is under investigation by FTC, FDIC, CFPB, His Business License shows one employee him. I'm emailing every business I can find on Google map within a mile of his academy. I'm not talking about his playing piano. But his So called Business ethics are very poor. He is a scam!
Agreed, when they start saying ‘song’ it’s a red flag
Trust me when I tell you, there's nothing that professional pianist could teach Jacob. With respect. I'm sure he's great. Jacob is legit genius VIRTUOSO. He definitely knows and understands classical music at the highest level. Look into his family history. Jacob doesn't need lessons from anyone, when it comes to theory.
I’m sure Jacob does not feel that way. Someone as curious and smart as him is learning every day from all kinds of people.
Great art is born out of struggle and adversity. Switzerland had 600 years of peace and niceness - and what did they give us - the frigging Cuckoo Clock.
And a bunch of the greatest novelists that ever existed.
@@michaelgraflmusic ... Let's not forget the Army Knife and Fondue.
All this in a year what a demonstration of patience, timing and feeling absolutely brilliant one of the clearest and vibrant recordings I've heard Bach would he proud
oh boy 3 am! 🍔
😘
good tutorial, thank you
03:00 AM is not the morning.... it's the middle of the night ;-)
3am
This video def had 3am dark energy
Doesnt your hand hurt with to much practice ?
yeah anything over 5 hours is probably gonna lead to strain, but with good technique and a teacher you should be able to ramp up to a consistent 3 hrs a day over the course of a couple months with no risk of injury
Happy New Year, Cameron! Keep up the great programming and your own excellent personal music progress.
Hey thank you so much😄 happy new year!
I used to play upright Bass in a symphony orchestra. The quality of the instrument is so important. I played a 10k upright Bass and the playability and tone is uncomparable to my bass worth about $1200. I played a 3k "concert guitar" and unsurprisingly the tone and playability was incredible. Especially if compared to my $600 Cordoba. One of the reasons I want to get other "real classical guitarist" with real instruments to play and record my arrangements. One: they could play it better & Two: their instruments are better. Which after a certain point is everything. Thanks for the entertaining videos!
Thanks for watching! 😄
HNY Sor Hands. I enjoy your videos, young man. You have talent and dedication and you're bound to make good in the future if you keep it up. Just don't forget to cut loose every now and then too, a change is as good as a rest. 2025 Excelsior!
Happy new year!😄
cool
Another option to go extra crazy on the cuts is to split that track at a zero crossing
Careful with that "I'll bring out the mids cause why not", it might scare some metal guitarrists
😂
Great video. You should do a deep dive series on recording techniques for classical guitar. Especially having studied with the professor who likely passed on so much knowledge. Thanks and the fugue recording sounded excellent.
Interesting! Finished product was very nice I thought! Unfortunately my computer skills are crap to go messing with pro logic 🙈 Btw maybe you could add guitar sleeves like the one you wear on your arm to your merch !!?? I use one all the time , a sock 😄
It seems lke a big step for most people to hook a guitar to a computer. I don't like to practice alone all the time, so I'll go into vrchat and find people who want to jam. None of them have a good setup, even the ones who are great guitarists. I just run my mic and guitar through a mixer with a USB out (Yamaha MG10XU). They'll take their mic and put it to an amp and can no longer communicate, so I end up having to follow all the key changes by ear
Jacob is such a loser for his self centered approach to making music nobody actually cares about. Oh wait did I say Jacob I meant CLASSICAL GUITARISTS.
Im self taught on guitar but i learned theory and trambone(its in portuguese cus idk how to say it) by classes. And im trying to always be better. Im trash but i hope to get better.
Why learn just one when you could memorize all of the art of figure. Or learn to improvise in fugue.
Is it bad if after practicing for 10ish days in a row as a beginner and I do my best to keep good hand positions, that my wrists get a little sore ? I’m hoping no cause I’m still new but idk lol
Fun fact, Glenn Gould's recordings are all cut and pasted together. It's the rule rather than the exception. As far as I'm concerned, the Sonatas and Partitas are a lifetime study.
You skipped the first 996 Bawk songs, dude. You should start over at #1 and learn them in order. How could you just start at chapter 997? Doesn't make sense.
😂
I was just talking to Anna Vidovic about this and she agreed! He should start in #1. No excuses!
14:49 what’s going on here? 🫨
Oh good, I thought it would be something worse than question marks…
