At 0:17, the band is introduced as: Bill Keith - banjo & autoharp, Jim Rooney - guitar, Betsy Siggins - vocals, Bob Siggins - vocals.
At 2:40, the rest of the band is introduced: Herb Applin - fiddle, Fritz (Richmond) - bass, Bob Siggins - banjo, John __?_ - guitar (possibly John Cooke, the guitar player with The Charles River Valley Boys).
This is my favorite song on the new album. But I’m partial to Alex heavy songs and dark possible murder songs. Love it!
Hey Take! Thanks for uploading this but do you have the studio version of this song that you've inserted on the compilation video? Would appreciate it if you could upload it separately. Thanks.
Django, here's what you requested. Enjoy it. :-) Take th-cam.com/video/RSTwcAUyMO8/w-d-xo.html
@takeslivebluegrasschannel9763 thank you so much!
@@jango.jose420 My great pleasure as always! :-) Take
american hero pickin folk bluegrass
Such beautiful harmonies!
Hells yeah!! I got to see these two when they toured together fer a bit
Watson and Rice is the perfect duo
Fack 😂
This is a beautiful way to play fiddle that I don't hear people do anymore
This is such a fantastic example of how 160 beats a minute can feel completely relaxed. Then Dempsey's approach is just different from everyone's
❤
i love recordings that are naked & primitive.
uh-huh! another good'n!! amazing sound from the way it was recorded!
Thanks again for all you Take'! I used to have this cassette that you referenced in the notes. Lost and Found was really playing some bluegrass at this point in their careers. I've been to jams at Allen's house andvit was a blast! I also love what Steve Thomas adds with his fiddle,; just fantastic! Thanks again my friend! John from Tennessee
John, sorry for my late reply. I'm glad you liked this file. It's good that you attended Jams at Allen's house. It must have been an exciting experience. Thank you for your continued support. :-) Take
Wonderful, thank you very much!
My great pleasure, Robert! :-) Take
Thanks Brother Take'! Loved this lineup of Lost and Found! Gene Parker is the most underrated banjo player in the history of Bluegrass! Thanks again! John from Tennessee
You're always very welcome, John. I agree. Gene reserves far more recognition. Thank you for your support. :-) Take
Great guitarists
That's Steve Wilson playing guitar. He was already with lost and found at the time. The guitar break sounds like steve.
Gavin, you're right! It's Steve Wilson playing the guitar & singing. I got a confirmation from Allen via his wife Deb. I'm in need of a nice cover photo that goes with the sounds. May take a while to change the cover photo. Thank you for your support. :-) Take
A Dolly Parton song titled "I Wasted My Tears." The line is "I wasted my tears when I cried over you."
The US-style "neighbor" would be used here rather than British style.
Thank you, Sandy-san. :-) Take
Correction: The actual title is "Sweetest Love," a 1952 Stanley Brothers recording credited to Carter & Ralph Stanley.
Song title: "Too Sweet to Last," from the Stanley Brothers.
Yes
Once again, I'm quite sure this is Earl Taylor on mandolin and tenor vocal with a truncated version of the song he recorded with Jimmy.
Correction: This is Billy Gill on tenor vocal.
I'm quite sure this is Earl Taylor singing Hylo Brown's great song. The scathing mandolin kickoff is unmistakably Earl.
This rules
Good old Louvin Bros song.
That sounded like Don playing guitar
What year??
Sorry. No infor is available. :-) Take
Thanks for sharing !!!
My great pleasure, Melissa! Thank you for your support. :-) Take
Thanks as always for the wonderful of this wonderful recording of my favorite JD and The New South Band. Just an fyi, when I was a kid, everyone knew about the "Crowe 75 Live in Japan Record", but, no one seemed to have an actual copy. Until about 15 years ago I had a cassette that someone made me when I was a kid! Thanks brother, I hope all is well with you and you are blessed. Your friend, John from Tennessee
John, I'm glad you found this album here. It's sort of amazing that "everyone knew about the album" even they were kids. I'm doing great! Thanks, John. :-) Take
YAAAAAAHHH!!!
anything mac is good!!
i love this bunch's music! thanks take! i saw it earlier, but had to scour your great bluegrass sources to find it. voila' took me maybe 2 mins. 🤣🤣 love yer stuff man!! the best source i've found!!
Thank you so much, Rodney, for the nice words! :-) Take
immy's & frank's rhythm!! that rhythm's a BIG part of the bluegrass sound. there's a lotta song's that ain't got it, but they're ok. most of the old stuff had that rhythm.
uh-huh!
man! this bunch! finest kind!!
Frank Wakefield on vocal.
yep.
Not martin on vocal. Its probably Dacus.
Billy Gill on vocal
Too bad he didn’t keep the bass going while he sang…
凄いメンバーですね。誰がテナーボーカルを歌うのかな?
Frank と J.D. が一緒にやってるの始めて聴く気がします。テナーは、ベースのBilly という噂が。(o^-^)佐生
Such comfort music that goes into me and resonates inside. So dog gone pleasant.
Is that Red on da guitar break? It sounded like Don but there's a banjo going
I think Billy Edwards was playing the banjo. :-) Take
I was fortunate enough to see them at Construction Hall, The Scene, Dock Watson, Country Gentalmen . One you don’t forget.
This is some rough tough sound, never heard this live version before, thanks for sharing. I belive it doesnt get any better than this
You are more than welcome, Andreas! Thank you for your support. :-) Take
Arthur Smith!!
Merci!
Thank you so much, Normand Paradis, for your constant strong support. You're one and only member of this channel and are a genuin supporter of the channel. Appreciate it very much! :-) Take
Only a Prayer' is such a gem. Great story behind this song.
