Hey,I think the server is l2off retail,they touched just a few animations and some class skills. What you see in video is me stuning them with Hammer crush and Stun attack changing weapons

I just managed to get it with my sorcerer build and a magic +5 reinforced club. Not an optimal weapon to cut the tail, but it worked. When you first enter the boss arena, he wont give you that 2 hit opening that you see in this video. If you homeward the first time and re enter through the fog gate it will be exactly like in this video. IM on ps4 so I made a savefile on usb stick to always reload that save without having to run there all the time. So I did how in this video, but only got one hit in . Not nearly enough to cut it since my club did almosz no damage. The strategy then was to let him walk towards you to create enough space on his back where the tail is. When he attacks with his beam run behind him but you will barely get the tail there. He will immidiatelly start his tail attack. Run further behind him so you dont get hit. By luring him to you before there should be enough space. Start sprinting in shortly before he stops the attacks to get 1 running attack in. It was not easy to hit with the club but every other time i got it. If you run too far away behind him he stops the tail attacks and rotates to you again. If that happens again lure him towards you and repeat. Sometimes he does an attack where he doesnt attack with his beam from the side, but more in front of him. I dont know what exactly happens because at this point i was already running behind him. But after this attack he keeps looking forward for a little bit longer than when he does the half circle beam attack. Allowing you to get 1 or 2 attacks in. It was a real pain in the ass but it is possible.

@@NoNeed4Sympathy I followed your advice with some slight modifications. I put on the Grass Crest Shield for more stamina regen. I took off all armor except for a helm so that I can run fast. I put the crystal halberd +0 I had and I lured him towards me waiting for him to signal an incoming attack with his head. Then i would run fast behind him and hit the tail before he started something else. If he did the tail slam i would run away because it would almost kill me. After a couple hits I got the sword and then I ran further away from him giving me enough time to equip some fast armor and easily finish him by hugging his side tails and hitting away at it. I did it on first playthrough.

Lol just did it with a dragons tooth +5, gold pine resin, and red tear stone. Possible but you like have to one shot the tail. You can try running toward his middle to trigger an attack and then going around but that barely works. Good luck lol

@@NoNeed4Sympathy i managed to get it myself. if you have a hard hitting weapon with buffs? such as an crystal weapon? then you can get that thing in 2-3 hits.- but i am not ammused. it sucks to be honest. you cant buff up at all. you can use power within but it doesent work well with this one. if that sword is good for anything? it is to shoot that blue beam. but that becomes an resource you should rather use on bosses before you have to fix that weapon again. because you destroy it quickly with shooting that beam. should i ever go back to dark soul 1? then i wont ever get that sword again. you are much better off with a +15 long sword that you can buff up for the long run. then you can save your points from dexterity and strenght on int and get that to 50 much quicker. fun fact. if you kill Manus? and take his soul and drop it off on the birds nest? you get a spell that Manus used in your battle. it is the ultimate sourcery the entire dark souls series has to offer. with the best staff you easy do 1200 damage.. but you can only use it once tho with this staff as it cuts the amount of times you can throw any spell by 50%. without this staff you can use it 3 times.

@Bojack Horseman from doing this myself as well, I had runs where I didn’t chop off his tail even after 10-15 hits. And then for some reason got the sword in two hits of his tail.Although I think this boss isn’t horrible and fairly easy, trying to get the moonlight made the experience really annoying and took the fun out of the boss fight altogether. Sure I got a cool weapon now but, I’m just frustrated by the inconsistency of his tail breaking off and the amount of time it took. But overall not a hard boss to kill.

This boss is the worst only if you’re doing a sorcery run and trying to get his tail sword. Seath’s boss fight is incredibly easy, but the bastard refuses to give up his tail
