Just don't try to abreviate this Every game needs a map. Every map needs a map builder. Imagine having a library with full parametric house plans to access. In json. Linked to a library of brep 3D templates, architectural and structural styles. Or build your custom made one in dxf. And importing into a solver that can generate 3D models, drawings, extract data, create cost and other documentati...

very cool, looking forward to seeing more
Thank you! More will come!
Indeed helpful.
very cool!
How big is the resulting IFC?
1.4 Mb
Really impressive! Can you integrate it with Bruno Postle's Homemaker addon?
Hello! The idea of this workflow is similar to the HomeMaker add-on - transferring dictionaries with topologic. I am evolving the idea for more user control on modeling. To be file format agnostic. You can import building elements into Blender Or model them in Blender Or generate with code Of course, using an ifc library. Medium agnostic You should be able to reproduce the workflow into Archicad, Revit, Rhino and so on. And I am hopping to do it as user friendly as possible. And to be easy to adopt for every speciality in AEC. I may fail. But it is fun to try my head for something creative for a change.
But I don't know if I can integrate it :-?? I used sverchok topologic for this demo.
What a Creepy Interesting thing. Waiting for more details. Regards from Los Andes
Nice one! Creepy :))This is a first. Loving it!
Great!
Очень интересно, но ничего не понятно=)))
Indeed. I made some bad cuts to the video. I will do one better next time. Showing also the parametrical axes, new levels for the building, and adding doors and windows. for more insides, we can talk on discord discord.gg/EhjszUgv
how can i install the libraries to buld the exemple ? do you have some documentations ?
hello! here I posted the example www.obim.ro/2024/06/24/pythonocc-ifc-viewer-with-a-dictionary/ for more details we can talk on my discord channel discord.gg/EhjszUgv
Great video. Thanks.
No problem!
Круто! А когда этим можно будет пользоваться?
Still working progress with other tools. Sometimes next weeks.
This is smart.
Thank you! All in a days work of a creative lazy. :p
looking good man!!
Thank you! Only a matter of time until the first real world functions implemented into it. :D
Nice!
Thank you!
Is this concept scalable? Looks promising
I made the switch to ifc format with this concept. To model a 3D building is simple. Now I focs on the drawings - mainly the section part. Soon I will make a video with a full house.
@@ionutbimstudio2452 Cool, love to see that!
Sir, do you have a beginners tutorial on how to make it parametric using those nodes....
Hello! I plan to do a series of tutorials, courses and other materials in this subjects. So stay tuned! You can also join my discord channel for helping me provide useful content. discord.gg/QjWHDH5w Thank you very much!
great work! i tried entering the webpage on the description but it asks me to log in into wordpress, so can't see anything :(

Cool video! I really like your style and I think it would be even better to hear a little on what you are doing rather than the music. It adds great depth and more context towards better engagement. Keep up the good work! Look forward to seeing more!
Thank you! It is an time issue. But I will do my best to add voice to at least some of the videos.
This is... Absolutely mesmerizing, Inout! Great work, very promising!
Thank you! I'll do my best to continue the work.
Nice, can you share the script on GitHub?
Hi, this is interesting. Are you able to share your code? Can't find it on your website
Hello! Join me here. We will develop the subject further. discord.gg/SQn9Sz4c
the website is www.obim.ro but the part of the script with the ezdxf it is not uploaded there yet.
But is not on my website yet this part of the code. I will update it and share it via Discord.
i've updated the code to the blog. you need to create an account to view it. www.obim.ro/2024/05/18/column-with-full-dxf-export/
Awesome!
Great work man!
Thank you! New python code for other ifc elements are available on the blog. - beams, columns, slabs.
nice work!
Many thanks, Ionut, you're an inspiration. Using Blender 4.1 instead of your 3.6 caused an error. It appears that the issue arises from the API changes between Blender 3.6 and Blender 4.1, particularly with the BlenderBIM addon and its use of the ifcopenshell library. The error message indicates that the aggregate.assign_object() function now expects a different set of parameters. The assign_object() method does not recognize the keyword product. Instead, it seems to have been replaced or expected to be named products and it requires a list of products instead of a single product. Replace: run("aggregate.assign_object", model, relating_object=project, product=site) run("aggregate.assign_object", model, relating_object=site, product=building) run("aggregate.assign_object", model, relating_object=building, product=storey) with: run("aggregate.assign_object", model, relating_object=project, products=[site]) run("aggregate.assign_object", model, relating_object=site, products=[building]) run("aggregate.assign_object", model, relating_object=building, products=[storey]) ChatGPT did the above for me, but at least I now have working code to understand.
Thank you! Verry good to know! I use Blender 3.6 because sverchok add-on is not uptaded yet to blender 4.x
Man, this is so cool. Could you do a complete tutorial on this workflow? I'm an architect, and I've been watching your videos on integrating BlenderBIM with Sverchok/Geonodes, and it seems very promising for creating projects entirely made in Blender.
I am working on something cooler - full parametric ifc objects and models. I will try to do it as user friendly as possible (including User interfaces) complete with articles on how you can do it yourself. Sometrhing like my video from today, but also for architectural elements like windows, doors and so on.
@@ionutbimstudio2452 Amazing!
Teaser is working! Waiting eagerly for the course!
Thank you! Hope to find the time soon to do it.

I like your work, what version of blender are you using. I am having problems with Sverchok on Blender 4.0-4.02.
sverchok doesn't work with blender 4.x. I use 3.6.
@@ionutbimstudio2452 Thanks, ccan I run two versions of Blender on one machine?
@@zfirst6022 yes. I have 3 versions. And you can even open the work from version 4 into version 3.6
This is exactly what i was searching for, Thank you, you re doing amazing stuff, making blender Bim much more powerful!!!
Just posted a method to use topologicpy as maping the 3D grid. You can configure the building blocks in an abstract way and reuse it as much as you need. In any project. Imagine configuring a room with a window and a door. Then reuse the block in any part of the building or project that uses that logic. More to come.
Thanks for sharing, very insightful
Thank you!
Nice!
This looks amazing, bringing blender modelling into IFC is opening so many opportunities, would love to see some step by step tutorials with svershok and blender, can you recommend any sources? Big thumbs up for the work you do, saw some other videos/tools you made!
Thank you! ifc Sverchok extension is work in progress by developers. I will post some tutorials in the future with custom nodes that I write. BlenderBIM works with ifc libraries and some parametric objects (walls, columns, beams). While the library is being build, you can do your own 3D elements ifc. The process for now is something like this - you model the geometry with sverchok/geometry nodes or blender and export it to ifc. th-cam.com/video/BflPBSTt1mw/w-d-xo.html
@@ionutbimstudio2452 Thank you very much for the link and the info, this allready helped! I can see so many opportunities in this workflow/technic
wow, impressive stuff, bravo

Amazing to watch your progress, thanks
Thank you!
Where can I learn from you?
I am working on some tutorials and online courses. I will make an anouncement when I have something to worth something
@@ionutbimstudio2452 Thank you, much looking forward!
Hi Ionut, thanks for your video, happy about you achievements what do you think Sverchok can offer more than the some lines of code would do, a geometry node interface? I am not an expert, just curious, cheers
Hello! Yes. I am a modeler - so this is my direction with these tools. This video just tests a custom node that I made and laks in ifcSverchok - to read a specific ifc element from the open ifc file. But I will go further - for example: - my next node I will try to bake ifc elements from sverchok in the opened BlenderBIM project; - to write custom parameters from a list (ex. excel file); - to check the parameters from a model with an ids list or parameters. And close the elements that are ok and see only the elements with issues; Any other practical ideas, please share with me!
Thanks very mouch for you...
🤓
looks nice, any chance to get some more details on how to interface LibreOffice, BBIM, and Sverchock? maybe on OSArch? thanks
hello! offcourse. I will do a how to video soon and share to osarch
cool video, what version of Blender works with Sverchok?
Hello! Every version untill 3.6. 4.0 and above do not work yet.
Addon for: Blender version 2.93 and above. For 2.79 see special installation instruction. Max 3.6.
www.obim.ro/resources/ here you will find some usefull links to start with.
nice :)
Awesome! Many thanks
With welcome!
Soooo...did Neutron become an IFC BlenderBIM classified object......meaning he was created AND classified all using Sverchok?
I would love to have a way of working with Geo Nodes. If only BlenderBIM would allow us to make drawings with objects that aren't IFC objects - just Native Blender. I'm sure someone clever could tinker with the BlenderBIM code base to allow this to happen.
Yes. He become ifc from sverchok. This is the video that shows the full workflow - th-cam.com/video/1CjMGxJztr4/w-d-xo.html
@@benveasey7474 Geo Nodes are developed in C++. BlenderBIM is a ifcOpenShell interface - I think is a python library. It works better with python code. Sverchok is python base - so it is easyer to develop nodes for BlenderBIM. Check out ifcSverchok addon developed by Dion for BlenderBIM.
Maybe it is possible to develop GeoNodes for BlenderBIM. I work python - I do what I can :-??
I meant that in the BlenderBIM Python code I'm sure there is a 'If not IFCClassification then ignore' line that could be altered....@@ionutbimstudio2452
Wauuu.. thank you very much for the information
More usefull videos will come next. And the release of my blog, where I will jurnal the process of making a personal BIM workflow with free and open source software.
am i right in thinking severchok would be a good way to select things in an IFC lets say i have an IFC parameter filled out can i select things with that data and apply a style/colour to them?
I will try and get back to you. BlenderBIM is a UI for ifcOpenShell python. So everything in the ifc schema can be called and modified with python. sverchok is a python shell. So yes. You are right. Check out ifcSverchok on github. Is a BlenderBIM add-on. Still work in progress but promisses.
This is fantastic, nice work! Blender has such a bright future in construction. Thanks to people like you Ionut! 👍
Thank you! I will do my best.
Great work.
