AMZN movement annoys me because I feel like alot of it is based on the Pelosi call rumors last week. The internet exploded as if they discovered Eldorado when it came out that Pelosi bought $150 calls for some time in 2026. Meanwhile, I'm like, who cares? he didn't buy them for next month and he didn't buy them at $230 strike. So not sure why people think this is a "wink wink" from the powers that be that AMZN will about to moon

It would be nice to retest your "daily expected move." I've transitioned to day trading since investing is too hard. I lost so much on utilities and "boomer" stocks and medical companies, but do well day trading. But I find it hard to fully commit on days like today when prices go up up up up up but the action itself feels very weak when you're loving through it. Most of the move came at 3:30, but it just as easily could've nosedived.

Update: looks like headline inflation in Japan is 3.6%, highest level since November 2023. 3% was the rate just for December which is apparently highest monthly rate since Aug 2023. Core inflation is up to 3% there. So apparently Japan will be a fool to not raise rates. Of course Powell lowered rates here for no reason, so.....

Gr8 stuff! Elliott wave is entertaining from a skill challenge stand point but it definitely doesn't add value to my trade system. It just complicates it and uve got a good system checklist going already so no need to change it. From a personal challenge standpoint it is fun to learn but from what ive discovered after 2 yrs with it, its easier to read the waves after theyve happened rather than ahead of time, and then uve already missed the moves.

Great point about Apple's correlation with the market. While I don't own any Apple stock, it's a bit concerning that it has been trending downward since last week. Given that Apple makes up about 6% of the S&P 500, its performance could pose a potential risk to both the S&P and QQQ.
