Platinum separate by mixing with silver then making into shot by heating to Liquid Metal and pouring on to a wooden board just above the water line to create shot. Dissolve the alloy shot in boiling Aqua Regis. Use urea to bring the PH down to between 1-2 then filter solution and precipitate by adding ice to the filtered solution and then doses of sodiumbimetasulfate till crystals no longer are generated by the addition of bimatasulphate. Repeat. If you want to achieve a higher purity repeat a third time using oxalic acid. The impregnated solution can also be processed using electrowinning to acheive a high purity.

Uranium or malachite bornite calcite and copper sulfide but my first guess was Rhodium. I enjoy your channel as the most informative and true to candor information on Geology. I live in Bisbee Arizona USA and I have some specimens I would like you to have from the Lavender Pit through to the nine burrows of mines linking underground and surrounding this historic boom town 1890 during copper rush earning it's fame as the Copper Queen. Bisbee blue torquoise and "Christmas Tree" Campbellite named for the malachite and crystals formed to appear as triangle trees amongst native Copper, Azurite, Chalcopyrite, Chrysocolla, Cuprite, Gibbsite, Tenorite, Quartz and other combinations of 32 minerals but I have this 33 pound bornite specimen that looked like a meteor I left it in vinegar an hydrogen peroxide after a Geolgistfrom UCLA said it wasn't a this as far as I can crush it, the hammer bends it leaving imprints. This rock is dense. I have before and current photos that are incredible. I need an expert to tell me if it is special or typical because all brittle has come off and the remaining piece is solid.
