"Haunting" is a short film that I had worked on in collaboration with my fellow peers for our Digital Cinematography course.
A female university student confronts her deeply dormant trauma dealing with a sudden creepy incident at school.
The story follows Chaewon, a young woman who actively attends university. After going through the horrific experience of being assaulted by an unknown perpetrator, she tries her best to suppress the memories of the experience, as it has left her with unresolved traumas. As the story unfolds, Chaewon's memories become rehashed by various moments in her normal life that end up causing her to remember what she swore to bury deep within her. Being reminded of these old experiences, Chaewon must overcome her PTSD and put things to an end when she comes face to face with another encounter that puts her friend Gayeon at risk. Upon crossing paths with this suspect, she must fend for herself, not only to bring justice to her friend, but to also put her fearfulness to an end.
