do you have the main layer in focus? not the one with just the selection? that's what happened to me often. forgot to click on the image layer before

@@AKCreatives1 Nah that isn't what I'm saying. I did the technique and nothing happened other then purple brush lines being applied over the top of the image

@@GregTurismobro click command/ctrl (depending on ur OS) then click the little square where it shows the lines you just made

@@GregTurismoor just right click the little square and click select pixels holding down ctrl or cmnd is faster tho
