I add leeks in mine , it gives them a nice onion/garlic taste.
Ikea does as well. Don’t know why they left that out.

5 minutes. Make sure the Kajas are completely dipped in the sugar syrup for complete 5 minutes. That way, the KAJAS will absorb the sugar syrup properly
