Do you have to rezero every time you take it off the rifle?

Sure you can hit further than 300 yds, it's whether it's viable or a waste of time in comparison to other cartridges

You could probably hit at a 1000 yards With the 300 blackout BUT IMO... it is about a 300 yard cartridge!!!!

The newest gen psa dagger mags are even better. They are still the shiny kind but they cleaned up the edges and a few other things and they work better with odd ammo.

Used a dagger frame to turn my 43 into a 43x and it is the best g43 upgrade you can get and it's only like $100 if you get the combo with 2 mags. The dagger mags also work great.

I could make that upper and bcg easily there is no reason it should be built that poorly, take so long, and cost so much.

That upper looks like it was cut with a dremmell by someone with Parkinsons. Like how it is that rough and poorly done.

Quick question. I just watched your Iray25 video and I think i'm going to get a clip on thermal to throw in front of an acog. For a clip on do you still run an Iray 25? or has there been something else that has taken that role for you? Ive never owned thermal but am trying to learn as much as I can before making a choice because there are a lot of options and alot of prices to compare. If you have some top favorite clip on recommendations that would be cool, if you have the time to respond. Thanks!

I still shoot my unicorn Saint Victor 300 blk at distance. It shoots .75 MOA. Shot subs and 110 vmax at 200 yards a few days ago!

i agree with most of the things you said and have been thinking abt a 13.9 carbine barrel for long range 300 since im about to get into reloading, but i will say personally idc abt dust cover, but in my experience thats the best stripped upper on the market i can tell its an anderson sport upper literally a milspec forging without dust cover or stupid forward assist which i particularly dont like as a left, no stripped upper ive tried fits as tight and play free as those uppers, and its one of the only uppers without FA but is still forged, billet upper lugs feel like they bend in the upper vice, forged dont, just my experience lol i love anderson sport upper. they just fits so tight in all my lowers, they are charging to much tho i pay 50$ for those stripped uppers

This is cool, but you can get 2 Ruger American's in 300blk for the price of the upper... If the goal is a bolt action 300, there are a lot better ways.

I’ve literally been looking for a bolt 300blk upper to hunt with. In PA we can’t use semi auto for white tail.

A good machinist can make the same thing better.......

This is a cool idea, I still like a traditional bolt gun as a delivery device instead of this. A cheap ruger American will give the handloader the ability to run higher pressure rounds as well.

Honestly, I'd be pissed if i spent $600 and got that upper...

Look forward to seeing this project evolve, it would be helpful to throw up your ballistic tables so we can compare your results against our current setups. Or against a common setup like an 18” 556 w 77g SMKs as a baseline

@Recce_randy you should check out the bolt-action AR uppers made by Solo 300. Thats the name of their website. Pretty cool concept and it addresses most of the issues you had with your upper.
