@@Tax_Buster Sed contra: Canon 825 - 1: "Books of the sacred scriptures cannot be published unless the Apostolic See or the conference of bishops has approved them. For the publication of their translations into the vernacular, it is also REQUIRED that they be approved by the same authority AND PROVIDED WITH NECESSARY AND SUFFICIENT ANNOTATIONS (or explanatory notes). 825 - 2 repeats the requirement for appropriate explanatory notes So, yes, it does say that, and anyone can check it online or in a hardcopy edition of the CIC.

@@Shlomayoexplanatory notes refer to the translator footnotes, it doesn’t have to be a commentary in the same level as study Bibles. Besides, God’s Word is generally perspicuous. It is the only infallible and inerrant document on earth. While I love the ESV Study Bible for its extensive explanatory notes and articles, those were written by fallible humans and are not inspired like the Scriptures themselves.

I have my top four: ESV, CSB, NASB, and NASB20 in no particular order. I still use the ESV as my main one due to practical reasons such as popularity and availability.

The printing is okay and fairly even. It’s a bit larger than the regular Crossway Thinline which has an 8-point font. So, I estimate this to have an 8.5 point font.

@@Tax_Buster Thanks! Never seen the ESV thinking but Compared to the Ignatius Leather bible or the ATC esvce bible, is the font bigger?

I was just wondering what denomination/tradition you came from prior to coverting to Catholicism and what made you do so. Care to share your story?

@@Tax_Buster Sure, I grew up in the Reformed Presbyterian Church. There were a number of factors that led to me ultimately joining the Catholic Church, but I think the biggest thing for me was the canon of scripture. When I looked at arguments for why the deuteroconacle books should or should not be included, I thought there were some decent points being made on both sides. If it were just up to me whether I would include them or not, I'm not sure what I would choose. And that realization made me start to question if the foundational principle of Sola scriptura was enough. Because how was scripture supposed to be my ultimate foundation for all my beliefs, if I didn't even know what books should be contained within scripture? So I started feeling more of a need for a authoritative church that could resolve issues like what is contained in the canon of scripture. And along the way as I continued to look into Catholicism and Orthodoxy and other denominations, my beliefs on other topics such as the Lord's Supper and Baptist began to shift too.

Yes Carmen you can buy this , personally love this for the 2D Denmark font size is nice awesome its like creamy cake no words to express, i ready to afford the costly bible but never found this print in any premium bible. Any way our god is miracle for all .
