New here. I'm a sucker for old Saabs. So yes, this got my attention. I like Volvos. But Saab's are more me. Weird and quirky. Love the fact this one is the wagon. So rare and cool. Most Saabs I've seen are of the hatchback variety. Awesome project. Cant wait to see more. 😊

Brother from another Mother! I just got my dream retirement truck myself. 93 K2500 with the 6.5 turbo diesel! I am 1 year away from retirement and my truck fell in my lap. Patience and being in the right place. Being in the North my #1 concern was the frame being rusty. Everything else can be fixed. I have a Fuel leak and Tranny not shifting correctly. I consider new trucks money pits that have weak frames and way to many computers. When I retire I was considering a Toyota Tacoma. They are now made in Mexico. That is a bad idea for a long term vehicle. I am more than willing to put 30K in this vehicle to refresh it to better than new condition. If you see a happy old dude cruisin around like Sam Walton, it might be Me. I have a 5th wheel in the bed of my truck, I gotta figure out how to get rid of. It isnt wanted and would interfere with hauling drywall/ plywood. I am curious what kinda fuel mileage you get with the 5 speed? I dont plan on changing the 4l80E. Rock on!

Glad i found your video, i am researching the ac on a 86 s10 and how r134a conversion goes. Did not know there were dealer installs. I am hoping i can rockauto a r134a kit from UAC and get some ac before summer is out. If i buy the truck. The owner of what i am going to meet is showing and saying the truck is in great condition. I hope it is so badly. I think itll be fun and i dont need another broken vehicle...two within two weeks. Fire and headgasket. Im ready to not turn a wrench nor catch rides for a while.

Speaking of your instrument cluster, I fixed all the gauges. The problem with the speedo was the thing that screws into the transmission. That part was bad. The cable was OK, but it was that part that the cable screws into the speedometer and odometer did not work.

Hi Garry, it's not an AZAM 6 but an AZAM because the engine is a 425 cc and not 602 cc. I can tell by the shape of the plating around the engine and the carburator. It does have an external dynamo which was probably one of the export to the US features.

Your car appears to be pretty much rust-free. In most of the world those fasteners would have rusted away, never mind the panels they were holding. You should end up with a very good example - and remember they are FUN to drive, leaning crazily around corners. 🤣 I've never driven one with a centrifugal clutch though.

Beautiful! I inherited my grandad's '95. I loved riding in the backwards seats as a kid. He put it in the garage at 100k miles and when he passed it was left to me. Such an amazing car, and my favorite part is the smiles I see on people's faces as I drive by.

Love the B-bodies! The Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser is my preferred flavor of this generation wagon, but good examples are hard to find. Regarding the GoPro, I've seen other content creators who gave up on them because of the constant reliability issues, so you're definitely not alone there.

94 2500 suburban with the 6.5. 320k on the first motor, transmission went shortly after that. You’ve got a lot of life left in that rig.

The speedo cluster in that is rare im told they are worth like $500 to 6.5 guys who want a tac. Get a 4in exhaust on it and a hx40 turbo set at 12-15 psi will help it pull even better

Brother!!! That’s really cool. I had a 1996 k2500 with the 6.5. Great truck but I sold it in 2020 unfortunately… if it had a 5 speed I certainly would still own it.

Nice! A receiver hitch on the front is great for a removable winch platform. HF sells one. Other stuff like a very light snow plow can be mounted although generally just for powder sweeping.
