      So glad you found it helpful- thank you! As far as getting started- I 100% agree that Trailhead should be your go-to place! I recommend checking out the free resources and guides available at lipstickandtech.com! You'll find a wealth of information and insights on Salesforce certifications, career paths, and the steps you can take to prepare for the Salesforce Certified Administrator exam. I have both free and paid resources to get your career (and cert studying) going! The short answer to your question though is to get as much of the free training through Salesforce as possible and supplement with experimenting in their developer sandboxes and playgrounds. The only paid resource I recommend generally is Focus on Force- they’re a trusted cert training program! Best of luck!

    How long does it typically take to get hired after getting Cert?

    • @LipstickandTech
      @LipstickandTech ปีที่แล้ว

      Your mileage may vary but I often find that certifications need to be accompanied with more experience with the platform, but I've seen anything from a few months to up to a year. I had almost a year of exposure to the platform and was able to point out specific things in my first job that made me a good candidate, even though I wasn't certified. Though, it is rarer than usual.

      Great question! If I’m following your question, help desk roles can come in a number of tittles: help desk associate, IT Systems Specialist, Application Support Analyst, etc. This may or may not include Salesforce knowledge though. For the most part for Salesforce roles I’d also look at Salesforce Analyst, Salesforce Administrator or Systems Administrator. Good luck! ✨

    I'm a strong introvert and I quite in nature. So the queue thinks and working on tickets sounds nice to me. But the whole collaborating with sales reps or with teams trying to solve something doesn't appeal to me. NOw I'm stuck with to keep pursuing this or not :(

    • @LipstickandTech
      @LipstickandTech ปีที่แล้ว

      So the GOOD news is that there are jobs that are mostly working virtually and in messaging only. But generally, some companies may require more interactions with others. That said, you can find out during the interview process by asking the right questions :) And it’s less than most business analyst jobs 😅. Hope that helps!

      @Healingmyvoiceonespeakatatime ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LipstickandTechhi great video, I am the same way as the person who commented. I don’t like the whole collaborating and and meetings. Do you know the names of positions or company’s that only do messaging in teams ? And your working remotely?

    • @HiMyNameIsKim
      @HiMyNameIsKim ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Healingmyvoiceonespeakatatime I totally understand the concern as an introvert, but I personally believe any type of help desk/tech specialist or admin job does include some form of socialization. Your mileage may vary of course- always take a look at the job description and ask the recruiter about what the day-to-day looks like. (They're almost always just called Salesforce Admin or Salesforce Associate, etc., so going just on title alone is not accurate.) All of my Salesforce admin jobs have been remote, but I chose to go into the office at a hybrid-basis to get better connected with peers. (Hopefully that's good news there!)

      Great question! Getting certified definitely doesn't guarantee the job- with or without a technical background! Just want to add since the comment disappeared a few years ago- the answer is no :) But the key is to review the exam guide and make sure you’ve got a better understanding of WHY one answer could be better than another. Memorization won’t help alone with passing the exam. I’m more inclined to focus on the exam and then practice the concepts than I am with just focusing on the Admin trails themselves. It’s been some time, so I hope you met your goals!
