Testing My Truck's Blower Motor
มุมมอง 13หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I show a cool little test I did using my truck's blower motor which I suspected was potentially defective. Instead of connecting the blower motor directly to the 12V car battery I instead hooked it up to a power supply and was able to test the variable speed by adjusting the meter's voltage.

How to Make a PS2 FreeMcBoot Memory Card for Free!
มุมมอง 2.2K7 หลายเดือนก่อน
Ever wondered how to create those FMCB memory cards everyone is BUYING online?! Well here's an easy guide to how you can do this for FREE, provided you already have some of the basic parts for this such as a PS2, PS2 memory card, flash drive, and a DVD-R. My Github page with all the required files/instructions: github.com/Loubear111/PS2FreeMCBootGuide/tree/main OR FreeDVDBoot: github.com/CTurt/...
great video i tried to do a network update in OPL but it cant connect to the servers, do i need a crossover cable for pc to ps2?
finnaly got it! thanks
Can this be done on a mac? Also, where do i download all ps2 games?
Myrient
You can technically do this using a Mac since it is possible to create SMB file shares on Mac as well but this video only directly applies to Windows machines.
Hey man thanks for making it super simple to understand. I had a question though, does the speed of the computer you choose to use matter for the file share? I was thinking about using my old laptop as you said but it has an old 5400 RPM hard drive. can you also put that laptop in sleep mode while you play games? like close the top. I just got a ps2 slim and i think the disc drive might be giving out, so im gunna give this a shot.
I'm glad it was easy to understand! As for the speed, the PS2's disc drive speed is about 3.6 MB/s so if you want to see performance equal to the disc drive your data speed needs to be at least that (this includes HDD read write speed on your computer AND network speed over the ethernet cable). If you're linked up directly with the ethernet cord as shown in the video then network/ethernet speed should not be a problem. As long as the hard drive on your old computer isn't dying then you will easily be fast enough. You could download tools to test HDD speed but I'd say as long as the computer functions and doesn't crawl like a turtle anytime you're editing files then it will probably work. Unfortunately, if the laptop is asleep the network share will no longer work. You could, however, make it so that the computer doesn't shut off or sleep when you close the lid in windows power settings.
Ran into an issue where it was stuck on loading hdd modules when booting from the DVD, even though I had no HDD (slim model). Finally figured out that i had to format the memory card (Head-Desk). Was a brand new card. Great vid!
How can you make a freemcboot if the drive dont work? Can you still make a memory card?? These tutorial are all assuming the drive works. I am tryn to check my laser
If you have a PHAT model PS2 you could likely do FreeHarddiskBoot: www.ps2-home.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=3578 If not, there may be a way to make a freemcboot card if you have a PS2MemoryCard -> USB adapter (where you could then use your PC to make the FMCB card)... However in the event that you don't have one of those adapters the option I would recommend would be to either repair the laser in the unit or simply buy a FMCB card pre-made online.
X doubt
Now its time to get a cheap PS2!Thanks for the video, great work!
Great video and links man. Very easy to follow and helped out of a pinch.
WD-40 means Water Displacement formula #40... Not lubricant, not grease. Meant to use it more as a cleaning assistant.
Right, good point. For long term lubrication it would be more efficient to use sewing oil or 3-in-1 oil as mentioned by another commenter.
Please add some sewing oil, or 3-in-1 oil to the front and back bearings. With it "dry" It will run for a bit until some dust gets in there and it will generate heat and slowly sand the bearing bushing oval... once that happens it's damaged and will never run like new. Don't use WD-40 as a long term lubricant, it will work for testing but dries up and leaves a sticky film. Some of the best lubricant I've found is the 3-in-1 sewing machine oil. I've also made my own custom lubricant by using small amounts of engine assembly oil (The red super tack) and 3-in-1 sewing oil mixed together to make a VERY slippery (Low sheer resistance) long lasting lubricant with great "Creep" properties. (It will move along a surface and "Creep" helping keep lubricant in areas that see higher friction almost like it replenishes it when it's scraped off so to speak)
Thank you for the info. I'm pinning this so others can see this information and use said oil in their fixes.
broken STUFF bin
