@@hookedntravelwhat gauge wire should I run from my battery for a power supply? My unit is only 8’ away from my battery. I’ve reset this thing just like lowrance is telling me to do but it keeps freezing up

the eagle is just the newer model of the hook reveal. It's the replacement. If you're comparing with the same transducer and the same pixel screen size. Most likely be very similar most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

its normal, the power goes green then amber and back and forth. Completely normal. Mine does it too.

@@Rob_Oliver hey Rob, in any brand those all in one pucks are not really designed to work over those speeds. The high speed skimmer transducer are what you need. If you insist on using the all in one pucks, adjust the transducer around 1/8-1/4” increments and get a clean place on the hull. Minor adjustments can make a world of difference.

different frequencies at the same time. With a lowrance they dont cross talk. The 83 is wider than the 200. Better deeper penetration with the 83. More detail and shallower, but narrower on the 200khz.

you probably have to go into settings, advance, features then turn on the features from there that you need. Sometimes when features like active target aren't there or 3d. You have to go onto that screen to turn them on. It's one of the motor support options you need in there. I don't have that option on my motor but it should pop up after that.

is it not reading at all or is it just one partial arches?

@@CTRadventures how fast are you going? Probably not deep enough and might be at a severe angle where the transducer isn't parallel to the surface of the water while underway

Might be shooting ahead of the boat and only grabbing partial arches cause your only using back half of the cone

there's a setting to go into to adjust your depth calibration, mine draft is 1' below the boat so I add 1 feet. You probably have to do the same cause it's measuring from where your transducer is mounted.

its in settings, advance, and go into features. go through the drop down lists to find the right feature to turn on

@@chriscasterbassmaster you can slow down the play speed in the video. If we slowed down a lot it would take 40min to get through the video. Pausing it helps too! Cheers and tightlines!

@@michaelferguson167 sounds good. Sometimes wrapping your head around how to use it and what your seeing just takes time. Practice, find area with concentrations of fish where you know you can catch them, take it easy, it will come with time. The more you use it the better you’ll get. It will come! Tightlines!

@@williamarmstrongj1635 you can use genesis live for basic 2d sonar mapping or log it for in .sl2 files for side, down and 2D. Which will give you additionally vegetation maps and bottom hardness

@@RonMroczenski yeah as long as your trolling motor has a transducer in the bottom of the head. Most come with the U2 transducer (universal 2)

@@DinoFederico-j8c oh yeah and follow along with it for the base settings. You are still going to slightly adjust sensitivity, contrast and frequency for each new lake or area of a lake with different conditions. This will get you 98% of the way there

@@adamarpa2447 well I am not a Garmin Guy. Might be a tad biased. Livescope is great, it’s the one thing they excel at. There 1/10 for user friendliness, 10year old processing power and the warranty is not great. Wrong update and you’ll brick a unit. Two years and it’s outdated. But watch your updates, and know what its limit is. When you’re researching units you have to think about future proofing it, what’s got the best features, warranty and bang for your buck. And the hidden costs of each cable and acessory you need. It really adds up. But ultimately it’s not about who’s got the best sidescan, or forward sonar, or 360, this or that. It’s a lot more to it. It’s about how you’re gonna use it and what system you want to stay with along with those other points. My HDS carbons are from 2017 are still relevant. Ultimately the choice is yours. I could spend hours talking about units.. lol
