Re: the discussion on whether a Christian would sin by baking a cake for a gay ceremony---some of the panelists thought that if one who bakes cakes doesn't know it's for that purpose, that they're not sinning because they're not knowingly participating in nor celebrating that event. Would this be supported by Paul's admonition regarding the issue of eating meat sacrificed to idols if one doesn't know or isn't informed of that fact, i.e. "just eat it and don't ask questions about the origin of the meat" and "if you're not told about it, go ahead and eat it"?

you have not made an accurate statement about cannabis as far as its effects and not a scripture that says it's a sin. You are not dysfunctional on cannabis under certain dosage. THC is the "high" effect while the CBC is the counter effect to THC. If you want a biblical defence for cannabis than look up the endocannabinoid system. It's a built in system. "Built in" it's design to take cannabis. God made your stomach to eat, your eyes to see, your nose to smell, and if you have an endocannabinoid system designed to take endocannabinoids than who are you to say God didn't design it that way. As a natural medicine. An officer had a little girl who was dieing of cancer that was going through chemo, doctors sent her home with her father cause there was nothing more they can do for her. Regarding the 'bake a cake for a gay wedding' issue, I just find this a bizzare argument. By that I mean, for this arguments sake that Gay marriage is wrong, it is sinful, and to encourage or celebrate in it is sinful (Re Romans). That said (ie don't argue those points, just accept that position to see my point), where do you draw the line. Would you sell a bed if you are a bed salesman to a gay couple? What about the guy working at 7-11, does he demand to see a wedding certificate before selling condoms. What about a wedding cake for a heterosexual couple? The question is, when is a Christian guilty for participating in sinful behaviour, and what part of the Bible covers this? Is selling a product from your store 'celebrating', or encouraging?

About working for projects that go against Christian beliefs, Jesus was a carpenter so wouldn't he have had non-Christian clients since Judaism was the religion of Israel at the time? Or how about if he had Roman clients?

I have some advice for everyone out there.I am a christian, and I have studied the bible pretty thouroughly. Heres my advice, if it sounds idiotic, it is not in the Bible and it definitely did not come from God. If you want to see a culture that with idiotic beliefs about God look to Islaam.

I believe that if your reason for doing something is income, or avoiding jail, or keeping your job or status then it is wrong. many early Christians if not most were initially persecuted to death for not sacrificing to ceasar - a requirement in the empire. if by obeying the word you bring trouble on your head then you are storing treasure in heaven and the beatitudes are given for you. I'm a music teacher - if my boss commanded me to teach hindu worship music I would refuse even if it meant - God forbid - losing my job.
