Let me guess... no way to DISABLE them shooting through SHIELDING... such pathetic bullshit then.. a whole mod killed by that non existent shit.. at least TR has it still the right way..

6:29 is probably my favorite shot in the whole video. Watching it taking fire from all directions, and giving fire right back in said directions. Watching it's shields pulse and flicker where all those impacts happen, and all the crisscrossing projectiles. It's just beautiful. This is why I love battleships.
You can encounter xenon in the mod itself?
Good to know i'm not the only one that gets low frames in x4.
Although the video is over a year old, are Xenon and Kha'ak a thing in that mod or did you just spawn an I in for the purpose of showing off the SW ships?

I think that Star Destroyer will always be my favorite ship design. So badass
In the official game there's the battleship Asgard that is probably the most powerful ship of X4, that is essentially an Star Destroyer with a big lazer mounted cannon in the middle.

what kinda framerate do u get?
That clip was recorded with 8xMSAA and all other settings on ultra, got around 30FPS. I normally play on ultra with FXAA at around 55-70 FPS. With an mod to disable fog, it can go up to 100-110 FPS.

The mod is called No Fog, it is at the steam workshop. It really helps in some sectors, but in large scale battles or when many ship assets shown in conflict zones it still takes a good performance hit. X4 running at version 5.1 with the mod uses a small number of CPU cores very heavily @@daniellicitra276

Oh man... this is the dream of so many folks who played stuff like X-Wing Alliance...
no it certainly is not. without taking down shielding and all it would take quiet some time to beat a ship. Remember ISD's back then where only beatable given their weakspots had stupid "target here we are unshielded" markers. Otherwise? you would need the torpedo's of around 10 Y wings to even DENT an ISD1. That here? Was a BULWARK MK1 ... and it ONLY DIED because of the nonsense of "shoot torps through shields".... EAW didnt do anyone a favor with that..

Fantastic. Imagine if a star wars game actually was about war among the stars. Open sandbox and with full interior at least for icon ships such as millenium falcon. And capital ship key areas.
Literally been a dream of mines since I played empire at war as a kid
there used to be a game called Star Wars Galaxies.. it was open world with huge planets and spaceship battles.

Not actually Star Wars, but Stars Citizen gets close to that description and even has a ship based of the Millenium Falcon (Crusader Star Runner)
