great horned owl chick mobbed by crows

The crows and blackbirds were relentless mobbing this great horned owl chick. One finally hopped back in the hole and the adult flew in to join the chick. You can see and hear the chick clacking it's beak in a defensive move.

Red fox are very protective with their food. These two 4-5 month old siblings are now out on their own and the competition for food is a part of survival. Be sure to turn up the sound to hear the vocalization of the two.

While sitting on the ground watching for foxes, day after day I would see this little fella run out, grab a seed and disappear. I finally decided I was going to try to get a video clip, but no matter how long I waited with my iPhone in place, he would not show himself. On the third day, he finally came out!

8/7/20 This male beaver was working hard to dam up one end of a pipe that allowed water to flow from one side or a road, to the other. I shot this video with my iPhone. He had zero concern about me being there. When I knelt down on top of the pipe, I was only 2 feet from the beaver!

I’ve never heard them called kits before - I would call them cubs. Baby rabbits are kits.

They are cubs not kits
Baby foxes are called kits or kitten, but cubs is also an acceptable term. Call them whatever you like.

It's the roof of a historic, fallen barn. Barns, sheds and old structures are common choices by fox to raise their kits. I just photograph them in their chosen environment.
@@EveretRegal oh I see. And btw I dont judge you, its just that it is kinda sad to see animals using something made by people without intention.... :/ But if it helps, its at least little good....
@@kexcz8276 Given a choice I would of course chosen a beautiful, natural setting, but you'll hear no complaints from me. I've spent hundreds of hours, watching, learning and capturing the intimate behavior of fox families in and around that old barn. I'm very grateful for those experiences and all that I've witnessed, learned and photographed.

Red foxes are my fave animal.♥ I'd love one as a pet but here in Australia it is illegal so that dream will never come true so I can only love them from afar. Plus I can't expand my collection of fox items as I have limited space.😭
I'd want one but I'd need some licensing/ actual property. Foxes are very hard to care for and make poor pets, but I'd still want one if I could meet all the necessary needs they have.
