This spring, over 2,260 Girls on the Run Greater Boston participants and their 5K buddies recently completed a celebratory 5K to culminate 8 weeks of the afterschool program.
Girls on the Run is an after-school empowerment programs designed for 3rd- to 8th-grade girls. The program helps participants build confidence, increase their level of physical activity, and learn essential life skills through movement-based activities and discussions. Throughout a season participants work with their team to train to complete a 5K at their "Happy Pace" and complete a community service project. You can learn more at girlsontherunboston.org.
