I remember how ppl throw a lot of hate because of her off tune voice and her lack of “charisma” or stage presence. But i mean… She presented her world as a “rebel girl who was such a “badass in the mall” 🤡 So, idk… i think the expectations were incredibly high.. We were waiting some kind of nature force as Janice or as original as Cyndi or even unapologetic like Madonna. I think she found her real voice after this.. i believe that her image and persona were extremely controlled and directed by her managers, her label, i dont know… I still believe that Let Go is and always be one of the greatest albums ever made.
