Watching you unload from the trailer was kinda painful. Seeing the grapple in action was cool though.
How did you activate the grapple? My pedals only control the up/down. Tilt.
It’s controlled by the right stick. Left or right will make the aux hydraulics function.
I might do that BUT I think we would be best served with a pintle hitch.
What do modifications did you have to make to add the third function for the grapple?
If your machine has auxiliary outs then it’s controlled by right stick.
We have one it works great for us.what do you charge a hour to use your machine
What year is your machine? Thinking about purchasing a 1986 743.

So on my 743 the foot pedals control my boom up/down and bucket tilt/dump. What do you do to close the grapple? Thanks
Right stick. Push it to left or right it will operate the aux hydraulics.

Looks great alot of work involved I'm doing one as well 753 it was parked for 10 yrs got it reasonable I have had to go threw everything running gear I can now start the paint and finishing touches I've learned so much bout the service manual everything is new and functional now to make it purty and run it till the wheels fall off lol what an accomplishment Blessing to a prosperous business I will share picks as I'm done
i would be very cautious towing this on the road, HF specifically states it is not DOT approved. You get in an accident, your fault or not, it will come back on you for having an non approved vehicle on the road. Maybe you can swap out the axles with some type of torsion axles that can still be swapped out. Not sure if that would make it street legal though.
Working on easy way to throw on my trailer. But otherwise this job was only a couple miles away. Speed limits only 25 the whole way.

Nice work. Why asphalt vs concrete ?
Mainly price. In my area it averages $10sqft. This project would have cost $5000, and concrete requires a little more skill in my opinion. Asphalt is more forgiving and is $66 a ton. This project cost me just shy of $1,000. Thanks for watching!

I cut my top from the back line of the roof and tucked the vinyl in. I cant stand the snaps and the plastic window, so im filling the holes and doing some foam forming and fiberglass work to make it a two piece hard top.

Great job. A couple questions: Why did you think it was a drive motor problem? How did you realize it was that filter that was clogged? I have a 742 that is newer to me and wondering if I need to check those filters but not sure how to do that. Thanks!

This is a bad ride my friend. I own a 86 firebird autoform. Thank you for giving this thing another chance at hitting the road. Btw mine came with the pamphlet you showed a picture of. The roof is the original top that was cut off then remounted as a hard top with fabric stretched over it

Hey good video, a sawzall and 20 minutes would’ve had that shed in the dumpster. That is a nice looking 743, mine is not so nice looking. I have a grapple for mine and I love it.

Well Marcus if you are referring to how I operate the machine, yes I’m always learning and trying to get better. I will say that I still have a few issues with the machine I am sorting out so it’s not really a fare judge of my skill. Bushings are loose, bucket is warped and hydro pump needs a little love. If you are commenting on the style or editing of the video, I’m also new to that. So I would imagine video quality will also improve. I’ll post another video with the Bobcat soon and look forward to you critique 👍 Thanks for the comment!

Where did the wheelbarrow guy dump the sludge?
It gets dumped in a staging area, then we take it to a local hazardous wastes company to be processed. 👍👍

They range in price. HF has coupon once a year where you can get one for around $3500.
I got a quote for a new top from the best in RI. He said from 18-2200 dollars, it needs to be hand made.
Congrats my man, you will be the envy in town and constantly get compliments everywhere you go. No one has ever really saw a 2 seater before. I have an 86 black like yours, i added a KITT voice and scanner. Ive owned mine about two years now. I see you towing yours around. I have wanted to but the tires and manual say not for on road use. Done much towing with it and had any issues? I’m thinking of swapping the hubs and bearings so I can tow it.
I’ve done tons of towing with it. No problems at all. I think it’s more of a liability sticker for them.

Yes. It came with the wheels, I added the roll bar and throttle cable. Def good for side hustle!

Well done! I thought I had done about every job that I could think of with my HF trencher but never thought about this job. I've had mine over four years and done a lot of hard digging and it just keeps on going. New subscriber here.

Why is there a chain mounted to each side of the bucket ?
The chain helps to keep wet mud from sticking in the bucket. Thanks for watching!
