How I feel eating a strawberry in Greenland
This is part of a scene in Firefly 1x01
Firefly is one of my favourite TV programs and it got cancelled waaaaaaay too early. It is, quite literally, a space-western that focuses on the crew of the Serenity (spaceship) as they struggle to make their way in the fringes of the human-occupied space.

An amazing duo! Ole Kristiansen (one of Greenland's most popular acts over the decades), and F (my favourite musician in Greenland and beyond) often team up for performances. This is one of my favourites of Ole's songs.

Thanks to the global pandemic and the closure of Greenland's borders, Nana Jacobi joined us live from Copenhagen. This is not my typical style of music, and I was surprised to discover that I thought it was amazing!

Calving Glacier at end of Eternity Fjord near Maniitsoq - Arctic Circle Region - Greenland
มุมมอง 3233 ปีที่แล้ว
I was very fortunate to go all the way to the end of the magnificent Eternity Fjord near Maniitsoq with Maniitsoq Tour Boats and Guide to Greenland. There we sat and watched for an hour as the enormous glacier that blocks the fjord at the ice sheet calved chunks into the fjord. For me - this is an experience that rivals the more popular Eqi Glacier tour near Ilulissat, as you can get much close...

Adam & Kimmernaq Kjeldsen - Lost on You cover - Katuaq Cultural Centre, Nuuk
มุมมอง 4254 ปีที่แล้ว
Two of my favourite singers in Greenland - Adam and Kimmernaq Kjeldsen sing an awesome cover of LP's song "Lost on You". Adam was playing one of the Katuaq Cultural Centre's free Friday afternoon concerts and got his sister out of the audience to sing this duet for one of the final numbers. I love it so much! I'd first heard Adam play last year at the Akisuanerit Music Festival in Nuuk where he...

Dancing the Greenlandic Polka at Ammauu in Tasiilaq
มุมมอง 2K4 ปีที่แล้ว
If you get the chance to go out in Greenland, it is well worth the effort. Ammauu is one of two places to enjoy nightlife in Tasiilaq, East Greenland. On this occasion, the band (which was composed of musicians from different settlements) played popular Greenlandic music, international music as well as several Greenlandic Polkas. You can always tell the polka ... it's when everyone gets up and ...

Sailing past the enormous icebergs at the entrance to the Ilulissat Icefjord is one of the many highlights of the journey on the Sarfaq Ittuk Passenger Ferry. Look for the pleasure boats towards the end of the video and remember, we only see the top 10% of an iceberg!

Where did you get this video? I'd like to know if the Tribal Member of Greenland used has her own TH-cam webpage to credit her music to. I'd like to know do you know how to reach her to see if she is interested in collaborating with another artist. I don't want credit to go to some woman who is from Germany standing next to a jackass that's not what my art represents. Thanks

I bet you bet you in some way or form it's about nature, their whole existence and life is dictated to nature in a way we won't understand. I know alot of people from Greenland and their insight in nature and their environment is amazing. Sadly in many years their culture was taking over by western or danish culture, But it feels like, that in the last decade or so, there's been a strong uprising when it comes to national identity, and I hope it will only get stronger, because it would be a loss for the whole world to lose a beautiful culture like that.

I found an article of the people who went to see this performance. its either a story about to kids paying then getting into a fight but resolving the issue and moving on. the article didn't go into detail about the other story though.
