We had a blast , really a ton of cooperation in this one . We had to plan out to attack as there was always zombies that attacked us ….. 2 of 4 of us took characters with low health. Love to try again . Must be very difficult if you have a player sabotage stuff . Thanks Dr. For the review 👍

How does the golden rule work, eternal battle, if I launched an attack with movement and for the attack to succeed, I must move, even if the opponent played a block (counterattack)?

Have played the proto type version at the End Games with my Son. I believe it has been thoughtfully developed, it allows tiers of success, and possibility to have no one actually "win". Pretty unique game play w/ social impact/ group effort aspect.

Crokea has been around forever my parents where born in 1940’s and that was there game they played when we go to grandmas house my kids want to play it

Great interview Dr. Not fimilar with Chris work but that squirrel game looks great . I played Harmonies it looks really easy but you run out of land pretty quickly. Fun game Thanks for the updates

Got to play this in 2 person mode . We ran into tough monsters right away and there very difficult to kill , even once I got good weapons. So would like to try again we didn’t get enough fame to get some extra characters until round 12 . Not in my top 5 this year , but would like to try again , down the road . Thanks Dr. For the review

We just got the Celtic Animals version of this game. It's mind-bending for us. Thanks for the thoughtful review, especially the examples, they helped us get started.

I really like your thoughtful and detailed reviews. I would not have otherwise known about the grip pads in the new version. We had the basic version of Tokyo Highway, it's beautiful and everyone wanted to play it but ultimately we traded it. After one road fell, all the players working carefully together to rebuild the system generally resulted in more roads falling. And then more. And then more. At that point the game ended with everyone losing and being somewhat frustrated.

Follow up question...do you think this is worth $50 CDN? I have been waiting for this to be available in Canada for a while...but $50?

I played this game 4 times and so we had 12 rounds over a couple of days with different players . Only once we were under bid and only once we bid exactly the 11 tricks so we all over estimated our hands 😳😀. Fun game and yes very hard to get rid of a suit . If you don’t get the contracts not a huge issue as sometimes all where not great , sometimes there was 1-2 that where extremely powerful so we would push to get our tricks right away so I would try and get it right away then you get first choice . You are sunk even if you are getting 6-8 points per round if you don’t get those building huge bonus if you can get one per round. And there was a tremendous card that you can take 2 building in a round instead of the normal 1 building. Overall Mori is better in my opinion there is a review on this channel as well on it ( another trick taker) . But I would purchase this game for sure we had fun . Thanks Dr.

Came for the Hamster Roll review (it has been on my Wish List for YEARS as a dexterity fan), and stayed for the amazing Crokinole board hanging on the wall. Wow.

Got the opportunity to play this one , would like to try again I got a little mixed up when battling but we worked it out that if we made a little mistake everyone was at the same disadvantage. I had a hard time with the Madagascar 🇲🇬 one . But what a great idea 💡. The last 5 years of board games are crazy good so . These won’t be in games of the year . But it was very interesting, and to learn about Ancient games My favourite by far was the 4 th game the Dr. showed us from country Ghana 🇬🇭 Thanks Dr. For sharing these games with us. I hope the campaign goes well

Got the chance to finally play this game . WOW is it ever great we played a 3 person game and i absolutely love it . I found it pretty easy to learn . Sometimes I get intimidated by games that are medium to difficult but this was certainly not difficult . But medium to light to be honest. I only got 34 the winner did get 48 . But I agree with you in my top 10 for 2024 …. not sure if you played the final version but awesome game can’t wait to play again

Got to play one game . I think it’s great I found the “ Take that “ wasn’t bad as sometimes the “ take that “ would affect everyone . There are some kids games that would have my boys fighting when they were younger . As the take that was a little harsh …. Great game for families. Thanks Dr.
