Pomeranian, she just has the uncommon urijiro gene. Which is a pattern in corgi's and many spitz breeds. She is also 12lbs, most people call them throwbacks; basically just means larger then the standard 4-6lb Poms, so she looks a little different because of her size.

Puppies are almost always cute. Although they are destructive little tyrants!

Mana and Starlight will not be paired together. Starlight is a sable merle and because Mana is double merle if they bred their puppies would have a 75% chance of being double merle which we do not condone intentionally producing. While there are no health issues associated with double merle aside from auditory or vision issues it is still not something that is ethical to produce. Although I do agree that they would be an interesting match!

We might or might not be slightly obsessed with genetics so we love talking about it 😅

The day after we did the video Nine seemed much better but he’s not there yet and we are still doing X rays for our peace of mind. Hip dysplasia at his age would constitute eliminating him from the breeding program and possible euthanasia. Haha! We were hoping Mana wouldn’t pass on too much of his dumb personality but I’m glad shes harnessing the energy well. Mana is like a newborn giraffe and he is about as graceful as a turtle rolling down hill.

It was explained in the video but Nine is on leash rest due to his possible muscle injury and so the work the chiro did to him will set rather than him messing himself up by running around like a hooligan.

Neither one of us is overly bothered by spiders. Scariest thing about spiders is usually running into a massive web in the dark 😂. Doesn’t mean we want to pick them up or have one leap off the dogs face at us.

So we haven't had one as of yet, but as they are being born I take mental notes. Were they squirming in the sack when they came out? When I or the mother broke the sack over their head how long does it take for the first breath? During subsequent gasps are they efficeintly expelling mucus? Does it continue to have clear sounding resperations or just lay there? Generally we are looking for them to begin functioning pretty quickly and with spark. We assist with the first latch as a test. One that seems disinterested or weak is not a good sign. For instance the black pom boy we just had was breathing kind of weird and inconsistent even with encouraging. He was also just laying there vs getting agitated when I rubbed on his ribs. But much like Paladin I believe it was when he was born he just wanted to rest a minute. Within the first week major signs of a problem include, a puppy that is crying a lot, restless, lack of sleeping soundly, colder to the touch, smaller than the rest. Smaller pups should be monitored at first to see if they are being bullied off nipples. We had that problem with Kaia initially becuase she was the smallest until she got some gumption in her.

Quiet content puppies are the most satisfied and healthy. We also weigh them each day so we know if someone is falling behind. For the first week squeaking or squalling from healthy pups likely means mom has sat on them or is grooming them which they hate😂. We check them when we hear this kind of stuff anyway because a mother dog is not as aware as people might think. Its not uncommon for them to suffocate or crush them to death. Keeping them warm is also very important but if they are spreading out away from mom or each other they are likely too hot.

Believe it or not the cats usually behave better than the dogs! But to be fair the kittens as we call them, aka Poley girls’ babies, we have noticed we have quite a strong bond with them. The same has occurred with Loveme’s puppies and we think it’s just we bond a lot closer to animals we have personally raised from birth. The kittens love to come on walks with us and bring us their kills just to see how proud we are of them. We love them dearly if you couldn’t tell 🥰. We had their father as well but he was hit by a car a few months after he was neutered and was allowed to go outside. He was a wonderful cat.

He definately is! Like an older brother, he shows them the good and bad 😆

So collies naturally play by going after the back of the neck and hocks. It comes from their herding and gaurdian instincts. Our females especially like to do it to each other. Loveme is very gentle with her puppies and she was displaying a mix of behaviors. She has a habit of when the puppies are first let out in the house or yard that she feels the need to try and calm them down a bit and she does it by lightly biting or doing a little bark until they submit. She has also heavily started trying to play with them and does the same kind of behavior but without needing the submision. Breaking up disputes she started within the video because the puppies are getting to an age where they are testing each other more. All of it is very good for the puppies, so they can learn proper socialization and bite inhibition. From our experience though, natural temperament trumps pretty much any exposure. Exposure can help, but temperament is the golden key.

​@@shakhorohrcolliesandpomeranian gotcha! Our sheltie always nipped at our heels when we played, and 5he collie I knew, Ginger, she didn't play much...she was tremendously laid back, so I have never seen this behavior. Thanks for the information and the videos!

@@QCaoimheLouise There are some Collies who have a stronger herding instinct that will try to nip at the heels however none of ours do that lol and it is an easily corrected behavior if it does crop up. And you're welcome! It is nice to know someone enjoys the videos!

I had to Google it but I think you’re right! It does look like a red buckeye, I think it was just being crowded out by the other trees making it grow kinda scraggly. The flowers were pretty though. The pups did do very good! And were tuckered on the way home lol

I know! They grow so fast, I can’t believe I only have another 6 weeks with them! In Nine’s defense though he is a monster of a pup lol he is 20lbs already and not a lick of that is chub 😅

@@shakhorohrcolliesandpomeranian oh goodness!! He is going to be a beast!! 6 weeks to you is short..knowing you have to say goodbye..but I keep telling myself these 6 weeks will fly, and not to focus on how long it will take to finally meet Kismet-haha perspective is everything!!

I hope to add a smooth female in the future. Whether that be adding one from another breeder or keeping back a smooth from one of my own breedings at some point.

I love the Smoothies personally but our focus is on creating a very moderate easy to clean and brush rough coat. Hibana is a dream coat wise. She is like brushing silk and we hardly ever have to bath her. She doesnt stink and nothing really sticks to her hair.

Hello! I am the other half that has remained invisible so far. I just wanted to say thank you so much! We are really trying our hardest to breed phenomenal dogs.
