Just watched the whole interview. What an amazing interview. You did a well job with questions and listening. And Kirsten is the best!!! :)
Great interview. Absolutely love Jacy - always such class. It was fun watching her in the WNBA this past season and I'm very much looking forward to following her career in the pro ranks.
Honest, is you.
Every single Canadian volleyballer is so proud of this program and what Coach Winzer has done. This team has inspired a generation of athletes who are now believers!
Whatever Nebraska is paying him ain't enough. We're blessed to have him.
So the one with Downâs syndrome is female, is the girl talking Trans? What am I missing?
Go Blue
Love Justin Lui, an amazing libero for Canada in 2024. He was so awesome during the VNL '24 season.
Barry; is that a Kustom guitar amp speaker in the background corner??? Green!!!!!!!!!!!
Good interview! I know Jill is a big inspiration for a lot of smaller outsides out there
Great interview!
Watching Hawaii's season so far I really underappreciated Riley's contribution to the team.
She was just as inconsistent
@@locomojoboy2 I agree but at least she could get kills at times and be the second option. No real "consistent" second option right now?
Thanks for watching and leaving comments! Any UH players you would like to see come on the podcast?
@@BumpSetChat Brooke Van Sickle
Thank you Riley for all the amazing memories, and congratulations on your next stage of the sport. Knowing you it will be a successful journey. We are fans for life and we wish you success and happiness in your future. âĪ MAHALO
Great backstory! She is a very steady player! Glad she chose to play at Hawaiâi! Gonna miss watching her play!
Thanks for watching and leaving comments. really appreciate it. Any other UH players you would like to see on the pod?
@@BumpSetChat Itâd be great to have Brooke Van Sickle on.

One of the best volleyball podcasts. Extremely underrated. Keep it up!!
Glad I found this pod!!

Great interview
Amber, well-spoken and perfect advice. Open mind for all things in life. Do you! Get it Amber.
ðð Great Work. Sir, I am curious to hear, I think it would be a great opportunity to interview Miami(Ohio) HC Gwitt.
Thanks so much for watching, appreciate the kind words and I will reach out Coach Dan. Is there anything in particular you would like me to ask or does he just have a great volleyball journey to share? Thanks again! Barry
@BumpSetChat I saw an interview he did for MAC media w E Ehman and left me curious. He seems to be on the fast track of volleyball, and I am curious about his perspective in the Game. Might be after the season ,but he thoughts on that. And Pro Vball. Would he like to coach pro and his role and his relationship with lovb.
Very cool! I will reach out and see if he would like to come on! Thanks for the suggestion, appreciate it!
Thanks to jill for coming by the show!

probably never in an actual game (unless it was funny)

Me too! And thanks for dropping a comment!!
Thanks for sharing this, amazing to see back this far with such clear video quality!
In tyat time i was not yet to be orn still in my moms wons ,those uniforms and hair of CubanasðâĪ
We all acknowledge that being multisport athlete is better for kids but we've made it extremely impractical, especially in volleyball. If a volleyball player is in both HS Varsity and club volleyball, there is virtually no time off.
That is so true and that window from end of club to the start of high school seems to be shrinking! Thanks for leaving a comment and hope you enjoyed the podcast!
@@BumpSetChat July USAV nationals, following weekend club tryouts. 2 weeks later varsity tryouts. In between, college camps.
Hello i hope you have a good rest of your day
who wants to watch a match with a jerk in the corner_
Hello sir, this match belong to a personal collection of urs or its something i can find in youtube. Im a Cuban fan born in 1992, cause i lived in Cuba there wasnt to many tournaments or equipment to record old good games from those super players. Can u somehow have some Cuban material ??
Great interview
nice exercise of window and mirror
Why the marathon record keeps getting shattered.
Nice to see Zaytsev senior (Ivan' s father), perhaps the greatest volleyball setter of all times. Anyway, thanks for the upload
Far from the best.. He and a coach, was one of reasons of a stagnation of their NT system . See OG 1976 on YT final etc.. .
@@manK2022 they won 1978 world championship and 1980 (even partially boycotted) Olympic games, though. Not to say the Seoul final at a not so young age, anymore
@@babyelian77 Although they won this time a lot of competitions they did not notice a progress made by other NTs- Japan, Poland, Brasil and USA. ( back row attacks- a creation of diagonal position, specialisation on receiving, blocking, field defense, serving, setting from jump). Similar as Cuban women NT- they won 3 Olympic games but with outdated system.
@@manK2022 maybe you' re right, but at his times with Zaytsev Russian/Soviet teams (including club teams) dominated almost all big competitions. Maybe it wasn't only Z.'s benefit, but his input was clear enough, not to say he was a pretty nice person even outside the court (RIP)
You should get Kelsey robinson cook on the podcast after the Paris Olympics!
Great suggestion! I will do my best, thanks for watching and thanks for leaving a comment. I really appreciate it!
Fun seeing my old Coach play!! Go Coach Powers! Blown away by the difference in serving from then to now!!
No way! He was your old coach that is so cool! Thanks for leaving a comment!
the only defense specialist back then was Eric Sato. jump serve was considered "risky" because the ball can not touch the net when the ball is being served, not like the the game today where the service ball can touch the net.
USSR then, the greatest - in sports. number n gold medals tally in olympicsâĶUS a far second!
This is old skool side-out volleyball, serves cannot touch the net. Double touches, and lifts are often called. No Liberos, just defensive specialists, but werenât utilized all that much because players were so well-rounded and can play all the way round, especially the middles.
The middles are really good, blown away how good Buck was. I had completely forgot about net serves. Probably accounted for why the jump serve wasn't as prevalent as today. Thanks for the info and leaving a comment!
Thank you for posting this game. That was great. I have subscribed and looking forward to more games.
Awesome! Iâll be doing more next week. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for leaving a comment

Was a legend back in the day and thanks for leaving a comment
OMG the memories
I know right!
Nessa ÃĐpoca a UniÃĢo SoviÃĐtica reinava no voleibol masculino.
Thatâs right! I forgot about the boycotts! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Hope you enjoy seeing these old matches. Itâs such a great sport!
good simple piece of advice. Deep breathes. I've done that before.
Loved this!
