After putting a lot of time and money into this project bike, I was not happy with it. I managed to figure out why.

The engine was not entirely up to operating temperature, so idling was a tad slow.

Scanmate 11000 drum scanner guts

The Scitex 342 still gets used for reflection scanning of photographs when I need to batch scan oversized and when I just want the larger scanning bed.

This was a scanner that was rescued from someone who never got around to getting it up and running. A Mac G3, ADB keyboard and mouse and a super kind donation of a calibration slide and masks and it's in operation again!
