If you think adventure is dangerous, try routine, it's lethal..., Deep in the mountains & rainforest of Palawan Philippines, the most isolated and cut-off areas where outsiders seldom visit is where you'll find me exploring. I ride my motorcycle or Mountain Bike out of town till I find a dirt road, and then follow that dirt road till I find a walking path. Follow this till I am riding alongside a rice field, a secluded village, or even crossing a crocodile-infested inlet. I camp out wherever evening finds me, an abandoned nipa hut, on the beach, or in the rainforest. I bathe in mountain rivers, drink water from wells while laughing and interacting with local & tribal people, making new friends along the way. I am living my dream in a paradise called Palawan, this is my adventure.

Six months into training for an IRONMAN and four weeks before the race day, I crashed my Giant Propel into the pavement while speed training. Scooting myself off the pavement up unto the sidewalk away from oncoming traffic, I knew something was off because I could not move my left leg, but I had no idea how bad it really was. We Fall, We Break, but then we Rise, Heal and OVERCOME!

@@kalboadventuresretiredinth6431 what a coincidence….then we are shipmates. I enlisted in 1979 and retired in ‘99. Met and married my wife, who is a Nurse at Saint Mary’s Medical Center San Francisco and we travel back, and forth back to P.I. Every year. Thank goodness, and by the grace of God, she is retiring next year, and we’ll retire there to open our Archery Academy 😇🙏🏹🏹👍
