A great question. I'm a bit weird with my vehicles so i always decode the VIN. The John Deere also have one when i decoded it it shows it was a final year 1986 model. also yes i know the battery i have is wrong but for now it does the job for testing. if you also have a 116 you can decode its VIN here: www.tractordata.com/lawn-tractors/000/8/1/814-john-deere-116.html

yea it was a hell of a time doing that wiring job as you see but it was a fun experience. its one of thoses at your own risk projects

there is a format setting i cant get to my truck now but when im home from deployment ill post a video

o it was finished. my neighbour who ended up being my best customer purchased it. drove it till the timing belt snapped and well valve met piston. if you check my account i believe my last video of it said it was sold. would you like me to find another one in the future? it was a fun car and i wouldnt mind getting a 2nd to restore

sorry for the delay in replying. when i hooked the battery up i was looking for a change in the voltage draw. in this case there was no draw indicating the battery had a internal short and did not complete the circut
