Great informative video again bro keep em coming mate
cheers bro thanks will do
I’ll have to check mine to see if it’s there, thanks for the info
Hi Michael thanks for the comment, yep be interested to know if there is a hole or not on his, if it has stopper material in there or just sprayed / finished over
I’ve noticed my plenum also has that hole in the same spot as yours, but haven’t had any leak issues (yet). It seems to me that the hole is there by design….have you heard otherwise from Fx, indicating that the hole is a defect and not by-design?
Hi, sorry not heard back from fx as of yet, I shall either put a comment on here or a quick video update once i do though. My take is why would they have a hole in the outer case or an air reservoir, be like drilling a hole in a compressor tank. I could be wrong but yep think we need to get the Official word for sure.
Been enjoying all your impact m3 vids. Thanks for all your content, great job, and always appreciate your clear delivery. Cheers
Hi thanks for your comment and positive feedback. I create the videos to share just in case anyone else gets the same issues, as they can be quite complex for the uninitiated. Great modular rifles though that you can tune to whatever you want to use it for.
Good idea
Many thanks for your comment
I regret buying my FX Wildcat Mk3. It is down with leaks more then it is running. I will never buy another FX again! Also I got it in 30 cal and the regulator will not get to the 150bar max as it should. I had to buy new belleville washers from Huma in order to achieve 150bar reg pressure. Looks like no quality control was done. For the cost of an FX it is just not worth the trouble.
Hi thanks for your comment sorry to hear that, can't comment on your fx Wildcat M3 however in regards to my FX impact yes they are a finely tuned piece of hardware, yes they do require constant maintenance and tweakes to "dial them in" to the various pellet / slug / barrel calibre changes etc. However this is to be expected with such a configurable and modular setup. Just like a front line fighter jet it's only as good as it's maintenance crew. If your regulator is not hitting the expected setting from new have you tried reaching out to FX ?
I just fixed that same leak two weeks ago!
Orings E100
hi thanks for your comment, it is not the same leak, yes I replaced the same e100 rings in another video. typically when these are the culprits it leaks further forward I showed this on the below video where I replaced the e100. th-cam.com/video/463iFG-zZMw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=L_Ni5K1K2_0kRvU7 Mine has a physical hole in the plenum outer casing which you can see in this video.
Not them watch the video to the end, where can see the hole
@ sorry man I didn’t realize you went over that. Mine seemed to be leaking in the same area but im not certain if I have that hole or not. Anyway I changed the orings and fixed the issue thankfully. My leak didn’t spring until several thousand shots had been made
@WestKyAirgunner all good and glad you got yours fixed, yep bit gutted with the timing as had quite a bit of shooting and video creation ideas planned but all gone to pot now as unable to use rifle now until part replaced.
Them FX guns always seem to have o rings going bad and there not easy to fix I was told.
Hi thanks for comment the o rings are quite an easy fix, yes I know there are quite a few in them, but this is the trade off of on having a rifle with the amount of adjustability that you can tune and tweak to such a huge range. once you have striped the rifle down a few times and gained familiarity and confidence it does not take long at all.
Yes, I have the same issues, is stranger but yes is leaking from this part and same hole. If someone know how to fix it without replacement the plenum, feel free to share. Thank you sir for your great video for help
Hi thanks for your comment, I would reach out either to fx direct or where you purchased the rifle to contact fx on your behalf. Supply a picture of your serial number of your rifle in case it was a faulty batch, along with some pictures of the hole and a video. But yes seems strange how their are number of them occurring in exactly the same place, thus me making the video so can gauge it and also let others like yourself know your not alone. FX are a great company who produce a great product and I am sure will see us right. However at the very least I would have thought it would have bypassed an O ring rather than find a weak point in the outer casing which is potentially at the end of the internal thread.
@ I found something, Ernest was disassembly one m4 plenum, look like new one m3 version came with this hole from manufacture, mine have this and I change the inner o’rings and now no leak from there, maybe this can fix the issues, my old o’rings was broken, since I changed it, now no leak from this area. Try it👋
@@adoni79 i just checked on one of my previous videos and mine definately does not appear to have the hole in this location on the previous video. I shall do some more investigation but my current understanding is why have a hole in an air tank casing.
The adjustable base you get with immersive optics does exactly that in a different way
yep just had a look, think my method would potentially be better for quick adjustment. It would need to be a wide screw or have some form of locking mechanism for the left and right side to provide support to left and right rather than just centre. I could probably draft something up on a CAD program with correct dimensions but I've planted the idea so will leave it to DNT to run with now.
@ yep you can’t adjust immersive on without taking off rifle
It would certainly make it all the more a cut above the rest of a scope if this feature was added to be visible to the user
Yep I'm thinking you enter the details of the slug or pellet you are using in the app upload to the scope. Then one shot zero which should then output the fps value as part of that calculation to bring the round on target. They could then display this value on screen for you to add to the ballistics app or record for that slug pellet type tuning record..
Buy a tripod bud its a game changer. I shoot out of the back of my pick up mostly with the tailgate down and the cover closed (lovely) but when out on the roll the tripod is the way
yep I uploaded a video on me re-perposing my photography tripod, works great but typically only use this if shooting into the field from the house if go for a wander I just use my rifle and the bipod or i might take a small bean bag as a rest.
SUBSCRIBED!!!!!!!!!Great video, I had just finished putting my 30 cal M3 back together, I disassembled the entire rifle last week just for some general maintenance and cleaning and came across your channel while putting mine back together, it can be a pretty intimidating rifle, but once you fully disassemble the M3 a couple times it’s actually pretty simple, but you definitely need a good mechanical ability for sure👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the Sub and kind comments. Yes they are great rifle's, so modular and adjustable and the fact you can very quickly dial up or down the power, or up the ante with a barrel and probe swap to a bigger bore. Yep love mine
Hi I have a question I’m pretty sure that my m3 has leaked down I didn’t shoot it lower than the reg but my first reg when I was filling it up yesterday the first reg was up around 225 and my bottle was about 205 do you have any thoughts on what I should do next thank you Del
Hi thanks for your comment, if I am reading it correctly you are saying that you have more pressure on reg 1 than you are showing on your bottle gauge. Sounds like a faulty gauge as you are unable to have more pressure in your system than is in the bottle. Maybe take the bottle off and watch the needle see if it's still releasing air when the gauge hits 0.
@ yes the 1st reg was higher than the fill gauge it was freaking me out how that was happening and the 2reg stopped at 150 I never shot it down but it might have leaked out thank you for your help I’ll take off the bottle and drain out the system from air then I’ll refill it and luk what happens one person said it could be the regulator gauge is to tight
good video of the basics however I'd use a C1 removal tool or a very small allen key in the hole of the C1 . in conjunction with wider crimps to reduce the chances of bending the valve rod . your video shows the valve rod bending which is a no no
I completely agree and thanks for your comment and I have tried repeatedly to get one of the c1 removal tools but they are always out of stock. there will be some spring to the rod, where it will resume its former position providing the bend is more of a flex as was the case in this instance. but yes to prevent this and if you can get one c1 removal tool.
Is there a reason you didn’t use the smaller silver filter with the relief valve. Mike
Hi Michael, thanks for your question, I didn't have the extension hose, once I have this setup permanently with a hose that goes through my desk, I shall definately fit it.
Thanks for your video and your prompt answer. I’m new to PCP guns and am wanting to use the Tuxing filter setup you are using. Do you know if the silver filter with the relief valve is used while the system is under pressure or after the compressor has completed filling the gun?
It’s sensual balance point ?? Lol
Central came out wrong lol, but sensual will work as in it feels right lol, bet the captions will have a field day on translating
Great video again bro and a good insight for other shooters
thanks bro, yep upcycle your existing gear for dual purpose.

Thanks for your comment and kind words, hope it helps
Can you fill scuba tank bottles with that type of compressor you’re using?
Hi Kirk thanks for your question, The GX CS4 airgun compressor is designed for filling PCP (pre-charged pneumatic) airguns and small tanks for airguns. I know of people filling large airgun storage bottles with no problem. I can't comment on scuba tanks as not really use mine for that purpose however I guess at a push it could potentially fill a small scuba tank, but it may take longer to complete than a purpose built scuba compressor specifically built for filling large tanks. Opening the floor to the rest of the group anyone else use theirs for this purpose. If so could you comment and give Kirk some info..
Just scraped from gx cs4 manual if this helps. Maximum filling 5800Psi/40Mpa How long to get it there though not sure from empty
Maybe you could fill it in stages so not overpowering it, ie take it up to a set pressure and then give it a rest, then a bit later finish it off so not pushing it to much or overheating it. Would also recommend looking at some other forums and see if anyone else is using it for this purpose and how they get on.
@@KinGr8Airguns I hve a JST 6200psi that is a direct rebadge of a GX CS4-i.... but higher pressure different gauges. Same stickers. Redlines at 6200. works well.
Great video👍 I would like the Zulus to be able to record video without showing the reticle. I only mention this as I’m a keen nocturnal wildlife watcher and to be able to record at nighttime at this quality at this price point is fantastic value. I hope a firmware update will address that issue as well. Keep up your sterling work 👌. Phil.
Hi Phil many thanks for your comment and kind words , yes agree, once i finally get my scope, I shall do a full on breakdown video of it with its functions TNC225R. the zhd520 is very similar but without the thermal. If you already have the zhd520. I know you can change it to a dot rather than cross hairs if that helps so easier to mask out on post processing for your wildlife shots just have the wildlife just off centre so when remove dot in post processing you will have full clarity on your chosen subject.
Great informative video showing the issue and nice clear instruction on carrying out the procedure to strip repair , thank you for the shout out :) just good to be able to pass on helpful little tips you will have to invest in a FX KING as you will soon be know as the FX KINGR8 keep them flowing bro great video
cheers bro glad you liked it 👍 will definately be more videos like this too follow.
Great video again bro good direction to product Very informative look forward to seeing more 👍
Cheers Bro, it all helps others when trying to fault find, so sharing the love as it were. Soapy water will work but due to the consistencies of these sprays it reacts instantly every time and wont leave any residue. CRC are New Zealand Based company. I have added a link in the description for an alternate. However if any others are searching then approach any plumbing store and ask for Gas / Air / HVAC leak testing solution.
I had suggested a remote for the ranging button, but you make a good point regarding the movement when shooting close stuff, so a combo power/ranging remote button.
Hi thanks for your comment, yes after I shared my thoughts with arken, they shared remote plans / design they are looking to build and I had provided some feedback to the RnD team on it. We shall see if dnt release it.
Great guns, crap magazines, I replaced the magazine with the eaglevision mag and had no problems since.
hi thanks for your comment, yes I have heard good things on them can't comment personally as don't have any but i have not had any issue's with my fx one since tightening it.
My first compressor was a GX-CS3-1 and I loved it.... for 3 days 😢 I returned it and got a full refund via Amazon and then bought an Omega air charger and 2yrs later no issues.
Hi thanks for your comment, I can only say I have had no issues at all with my cs4, runs flawlessly. I can't comment on the cs3 as only had cs4. But to date no issues with cs4 which was purchased in November last year
They should make the scope record like a webcam, and after it senses the shot (via the already inbuilt accelerometers) it just saves the previous minute and the next 30 seconds
Hi thanks for your comment 👍 upon speaking with arken a while back I believe this is an actual function that they already have. However I think this will be a function that will deplete the battery faster as it will essentially be on standby all the time. not sure on battery life on them presently real vs book as I'm still waiting to get my tnc225r however will be doing a full review and adding it on here once I do
they are a great compressor for the money great review thank you and a great choice of rifle
thanks for your comment, yep love the compressor its been faultless since purchase, cool, quiet with multi voltage ability.
i have to agree these are fantastic shooting tables as they say simple but effective
thanks for your comment yep great for a comfortable day out on targets, zeroing or plinking
This would also be great when zeroing to freeze/capture the shot placement.
Thanks for your comment 👍
Another fantastic informative video bro great stuff
Much appreciated cheers bro
I like your idea for the remote button. I would also like an option to have a remote button to activate the LRF.
Thanks for your comment yes when they mentioned they were working on one, they were some additional conversations and suggestions that went between me and the RnD department. I have an image of the prototype however have been requested not to share this at this time. Not sure if this will come to fruition now the torch has been passed to DNT optics so one to watch.
Great bipod. Bought spigot mounts for all my AR. The challenge is getting more spigots.
Thanks for your comment and agreed ref getting spigots but once have them very quick and easy to swap between rifles
thank you for this video mate
all good no worries glad u like it
get some mags from eaglevision and orion
Thanks for your comment yes I shall give them a go at some point and ensure I add a yt review of my findings
Got one they still jam
@@paulorrey7219 Thansk for your comment, Ive still got my trusty FX magazine that came with the rifle and since made the adjustment had no problems with it. So had no reason to try the Eagle vision to date. So assuming you are having issues with the eaglevision ?
@@paulorrey7219 mine dont
Be careful with eagle vision mags !!! I have 2 and pellets have been known to fall out with the magnetic cover in place ..very good but that is an issue to be aware of
How often to you change the Molecular Sieve etc?
apparently someone has reported to have had their filters in place and running for 3 years with no issues. ???? i would rather replace on a regular basis than take the risk of adding moisture into my rifle. Therefore, my advice would be to replace the cotton filter if it is damp, as a first step. The clear silica is supposed to change color as an indicator, but sometimes this does not happen, so do not rely on this. Additionally, you might consider replacing the charcoal with more drying beads. Since the primary concern is extracting moisture rather than removing odors, this substitution can be more effective.
Awesome!! Thanks man.
No problem sorry it took a while, I still rate it the tuxing 4500 is quite large so a bigger void to pressurize up initially however with the amount of filters and wadding in there. You know your getting good clean dry air into your rifle. So my 2cents the extra time to fill is well worth it. If time to fill is a game changer then you can get a smaller chamber filter with hygroscopic filtration.
Another awesome video bro on a great subject ;)
Cheers bro
I'm testing a pre-production TNC225R at the moment and it displays cant and tilt exactly the same as the Zulus. Arken have a bluetooth remote control in development and I've seen but not used a pre-production model which I believe will do what you want
Looking forward to the release date of the tnc225r, is the name mean the zoom / focus is min of 2m and max of 25 with it being 225 like zulus is 520 ?
@@KinGr8Airguns No. 2 means it operates in both the optical and thermal areas of the electromagnetic spectrum. 25 refers to the focal length of the objective lens on the thermal part of the scope. R means it has an LRF
They have a built in cant and tilt ,might pay to know your facts first before making a video like this😊
Hi thanks for your comment yes if you refer to my second follow up video , where they replied, to which I responded informing of this and my improvement suggestion bring put forward to the developers.
@EverythingAirguns first off I owe you an apology, I thought you were on about the Zulus day night scope ,so I will shut my mouth and I apologise for getting it wrong ,hope they listen to you 😊
All good no worries, I appreciate you watching the videos.
Really wondering how much extra time it takes the cs4 to fill with this larger filter inline.
Hi thanks for your comment, yep sorry I promised a video of this, just been real busy if I got time this weekend I shall put one together and upload.
Just had a look at the price £420. 😱bit much for a bipod
Agreed it is costly however in their defense it is built like a tank. Quality is definately there, I guess it also goes on your shooting style, if want to just head out and have a lightweight bipod to spring out for a base when field hunting then this is not for you. If however you are set up in a hide or a set location for a session then this is an incredibly steady bipod. However i would say it's more for bench / target / precision shooting.
.
Look very tempting for me
You won't regret it, if can get past price and pending your intended use. There are cheaper and lighter out there but won't beat the build quality of this.
.
I think a rubber cut for the bottom of feet would be a nice option in case you have it on a smooth surface. Just as an option 👍
Agreed or could place down a non slip mat underneath which would suffice.
.
Suggestions don’t cost anything and go a long way to making things better. Keep up the good work
much appreciated thank you for your comment 👍
The only problem with your suggestion is you don't actually know which way to move it to find level. The Hik Micro level indicator at shows you which way you are canted and need to move
thanks for your comment, and yes this is indeed a fair point, due to me not owning an Arken Scope presently as waiting for the release of new model, was not aware of the Gyroscopic Horizontal and Vertical Drift indicators, when was making the video. However I still think the color indicator would be a good option to ensure maintaining level and can keep focus on the cross hairs as such there are a number of options that could make this work and alleviate which direction its tilted but will leave that with Arken on how they wish to do it. I simply planted the seed as such. Thanks for watching and your valid comment
@@KinGr8Airguns I saw the gyro displays in this video. I think that something that displays information about the horizontal level, should be on the horizontal plane. By that I mean the vertical display can be on the vertical, but the horizontal level, should display at the bottom (not the side) area of the screen. It's more natural to look at that way.
yes I meant i didn't have them in the original video i.e. part 1, I got that picture from arken in their response. with that said though, at least it's easy to work out ie very easy to differentiate between horizontal and vertical by the way they are displayed. They could just make the reticle move around the centre point, then changes color on level, like I say there are a number of ways to do it some more complex than others but I am sure Arken will come up with a great update.
Good thinking mate
thank you 😊
@@KinGr8Airguns I have an Arken Zulus 5-20 and it has a cant in the scope that shows the degree of cant.
@pappyjack5001 yep thanks for your comment, yep i updated this in part 2 of the video with some additional suggestions
You don't use an extra filter? Is the air comming out dry?
Hi ya thanks for the question. It does state that it has its own inline filter, however I would not rely on this, I have fitted an additional inline filter the type with Charcoal and like wadding inserts to dry the air even further. I guess the fitted inline would be ok as a very last resort for a quick fill in an emergency but certainly wouldn't be using it regularly. Moisture through your rifle can cause all sorts of issues so best to avoid it as much as possible. I shall do another video filling my rifle with the additional filter in place, it does add a little bit of time but not really all that much in the grand scheme of things.
Great info on the video highlighting a potential issue others may struggle to find :)
Many thanks for your comment, yep just wanted to raise it and put out a video as it was very weird symptoms that did not make sense. Just in case others have the same issue then it gives them something to check if its the same scenario
