Hi I was watching this older video when I noticed at 44:51 there was a certain whistle on the 89 which I haven’t heard before. Do you know what type of whistle it is and or where it is now?

I was there to witness history being made at the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. It was the first time they began using the 6 chime whistle through November. My friend Grant and I chased it from Cumberland to Frostburg. I knew that they were getting their guest whistle prepared for this. I grew up along the 21:00 stretch of the journey in the video. It’s been a while since steam hit those rails but you can hear the locomotives from 3 to 4 miles and would alway zoom up up the hill through the woods to the trail and see it go by. Such fascinating marvels of engineering.

#611 is marvelous to watch in motion. I have the "K-2" class version of this steam locomotive in HO scale brass from Key Imports. It's really nice seeing #611 in action, and with beautiful scenery surrounding it. Nice video. 👍😉

Strasburg was so close to have done a doubleheader especially since 7312 won't be returning but I'm still glad they still do doubleheaders and often triple from time to time

Hi, thanks for watching my video. 31 is actually a 0-6-0. She was Strasburg's first steam locomotive. Her last gig on the CN was as the shop switcher at the CN's Stratford Ontario shops. She has been out of service for a number of years and is in the middle of an overhaul. Because of her smaller size she generally ran more early or later in the year when the trains are shorter. She has always been a favorite of mine.

Thanks for teaching me something. I have been to Strasburg Railroad and have made some research of it but I didn't know they had 2 moguls from CN. I only thought it was just no 89. Great video and thanks for sharing this with us.
