I regrettably have experience with one and I will tell you that the Pixblaster is a turd. If I had to choose an embosser today, I would probably end up going with an index unit, or if I was doing major production I would go for a braillo

@@KanawhaCountyWX Yeah. Index machines are grate. I personally like the Everest because it is a multi sheet feeder. That Being said, View Plus has the Delta and Iria has there version known as the Braille Sheet 120. But if you wanted a tractor feed modern embosser today, you would probably want the Index Basic D V5. And APH's Page Blaster is there branded version modeled after the Index Basic D V5.

@@johnfollis2357 personally I would not mess with a multi-sheet feeder embosser, it just seems like it would be far more prone to failure than something using tractor feed.

I doubt this unit has a graphics mode, considering that it was released in 1992 and mine dates from around 1995, or at least that's when the previous owner acquired it new. I still have it today, and it still works just fine. My Romeo attache with ET speaks added on by me, with the card rip from a broken juliet pro 60, I've not messed with multi-copy on it. I have been able to get it to do graphics using duxbury and a website which can convert images from formats like PNG or jpg into a Braille graphics file duxbury can emboss.

So you have two embossers? Also, if you take the embosser offline, enter the service menu, and punch in 11 E, it should print two pages of a graphics Test. And I think I know of the website you speak off. It has something to do with Print to Braille Graphics.

@@johnfollis2357 Yes I have two embossers. 11e is not a valid option on my Juliet. I'm about to hook it up to the computer and shoot an actual review after around 1 and 1/2 years of ownership, and I'll try force feeding it some graphics.

@@KanawhaCountyWX Ok. I look forward to that review. I am also thinking about doing a review on how I got about embossing between Braille Blaster and my TSI VersaPoint. I may do a review of the embosser itself as well. I am such a nerd when it comes to these devices.

She's actually one of my cousins two dogs, debo and katana. They live on the same property as us but in a different house. Katana is younger, kind of lanky a little bit. She recently had an injury where she can't use her front left leg very much, but she still managed to chase off a bear even in that state. She really is a good girl. Debo is an idiot but he's so sweet and lovable you can't blame him.

In retrospect I agree with you, but this was also my first embosser, though even then I thought it was terrible. We had one in the school that was being used before it failed, it was set to go backwards and that thing would jam so often it's not even funny.

@@KanawhaCountyWX Exactly. Now they had the Blazer Inferno that was supposed to be a major step up from the Braille Blazer. It had features like 11.5 by 11 inch paper, a 299 multi-copy mode, and a speed of 50 characters per second. Sadly I don't think most people bought the unit or if they did, I've never seen one. From what I understand from reading the manual that I found online, it still had the waste a sheet of paper problem when setting top of form, and if you wanted graphics, you had to flip the emboss bar over just like the Braille Blazer. But other than those problems, it sounded like a major step up.

That's not the worst, last year I ended up driving this same scooter down the set of steps off of this same deck because I was trying to avoid whacking my shins on paint cans against the house.

Typically I don't care enough to try and get this, but I felt like doing it tonight. I was also getting 740 a.m. cfzm from Toronto, and on shortwave I was getting CHU, the Canadian Time Station, better than I was getting WWV, the American time station in fort Collins Colorado.

The reason why my voice is off to the left is because of how I recorded this. I used OBS to record my screen, the audio from the computer and my microphone. Because with the way my interface is wired, my microphone is only on the Left channel. If I were to make everything mono so the microphone will be in the center, the screen recording, and thus the tracks would also be entirely in mono. I plan to upgrade interfaces at the end of this year and purchase a pair of better microphones

Right before I started filming my grandmother told me to change the channel to channel 3.

What I did for this clip was I used a video cassette recorder with its RF modulated output. I shoved something similar to a thin piece of coat hanger wire into the connector on the VCR, then crudely wrapped it around the antenna on the television. You can also use a pair of rabbit ears and a signal amplifier along with a VCR to get a cleaner output.

Awesome thank you, I used a coax cable coming from my vcr and cut off one end so the wire is showing and wrapped it around the antenna, it worked and was able to watch Star Wars on vhs. Thank you so much for the response and help.

The owner of this vehicle purchased it to replace a 2006 or 2007 Silverado 1500 that had a transmission failure, this was going to be his work truck. Sadly, he didn't get to use it for too long because he passed away only a couple of months after this brief clip was filmed.

Well I had to resort to ERN/KNA for the second capture since I'm too far away from WVRC Media's Martinsburg cluster (WLTF etc) to receive OTA, and the alert was too far for the Romney/Cumberland cluster (WQZK/WVMD/WKLP/WDZN etc) to relay.

@@KanawhaCountyWX oh, ok. I thought you could get WLTF from there. I got the 2nd one from multiple stations.

@@statecollegewx4060 wltf doesn't reach far enough to get into the valley here, and plus reception at this particular house is bizarrely terrible, especially on weather band. I think it's the construction of the building though, but I can't get WWG52 even if I'm standing in the yard.
