I've recently started my Certificate in Mortgage Advice with the CII. I've been browsing jobs for when I'm qualified and I've noticed that they all want someone with prior experience in the industry, even for Mortgage Administration jobs. Is there any tips you can give on how to gain experience? Would working as say, a letting agent be a step in the right direction?

Thanks for the video, but I’ve actually got confused: at 2:25 you mentioned both unit 1 & 2 will be tested using 50 multiple questions over 2 hours ?? But wait, 50 questions over 2 hours only for 2 units ??? What about the other 23 units ?? Do those not get tested ?? How many questions are in the CeMAP 1 exam ??? Are all multiple choice ?

Thank you for this information, as someone not coming from a financial background I didn't know where to start. I have visited the Premier Jobs UK website and there is currently a job as an IFA administrator that I hope to get that doesn't require training.

This is where I feel you are slightly incorrect, There are multiple employers who only accept the DipPfs over the DipFA, The reasons they give are that they feel the DipPFS is more comprehensive. Even if you are qualified in the DipFA Qualification, they want you to sit the remaining modules from the DipPFS with Either the CII or the CISI As someone who works in Financial services I would advise anyone deciding between the two, to simply go with the DipPfs as to not hinder their job prospects. Now i'm not saying if it's right or wrong, but that's how employers are deciding who to hire and that is ultimately how candidates need to tailor their decisions You are Welcome
