I had a class with a Tao Te Chin class years ago and the Instructor passed around a shoe and asked everyone to name an important on the shoe and students started saying hike the sole, or laces and when I got ther shoe I indicated the space inside the shoe without with the shoe would be useless! :--)

Lao Zi means the 'old master' (zi is ancient Chinese) it is pronounced tsi (the "i" as in ri-ver, i-t) but however you pronounce it, doesn't really matter, does it omly the substance I've said too much

It is profound. Chinse, especially those that follow the Dao, often speak in riddles. it takes a very long time to truly have any understanding of the Master's meaning. Daoists are playful and like to joke, so the text will immediately add joy to your heart. All you really need to do is open your heart. happiness is all around us, it just needs a soft place to land.
