Great adventure format!
Cheers mate!
So psyched to get this in my hands.😀
Thanks for your support CZ!
So excited for this 😁 will be moving next year to my own home (we hope) my friend lives near where we will be going and her, her husband and some of her friends want to try so TTRPG stuff so this is one of the games I want to give a try 👌🏻
Hope the move goes well and you get a game going mate! :)
@@pickpocketpressrpgvideos6655 Thanks bud have several games I want to show off to people different feels and types to see what they enjoy :-) I mostly play solo myself so I will be having a good with with this anyway, just like I do with Shadowdark and AD&D wuw!!
Excellent!!!!
Cheers KNM :)
Great tool for Dungeon Generation! Looking forward to the final product!
Thanks J, me too :)
@@pickpocketpressrpgvideos6655 😊 😉
Great GM screen, looking forward to using it!
Greatr video and easy to use dungeon generation. Can't wait for my copy to arrive.
Cheers mate!
Looks great! everything is very clear where each area starts and ends this is how a DM/GM screen should look for the DM/GM I have seen some who do to much style on the DM/GM side and makes things hard to read at a glance where they start and end this is perfect. Also I dont know how I missed this video and the one after about Dungeons about to watch it now as well. Thanks again bud I am getting more and more excited :-D I am moving next year to a new area where I have a friend I have known for years! was at her wedding last year, she and others she knows want to play some RPGs dont know where to start so I will be dropping this on them to see how they like it.
Cheers Y, glad you're liking it, and yes drop ToA on them see why they think!! :DD
Where is the map from?
It's just a map I made (with Inkarnate) as part of the proofing of Old Mage (boardgame which did not end up being made). I got it printed at Gamecrafter.
@@pickpocketpressrpgvideos6655 I was just going to ask the same question @Robstopper78 asked :) Do you have a link to the map at game crafter so I can order a copy for myself? It looks really handy and has a nice balance of terrain types.
Looks unreal mate, can’t wait!
Epic!!
Cheers DM :D
🍻
If you can, you could remind the symbols on the dice next to the number rolled in the activity table
Yes I think from Playtest v5 onwards, I've included the dice symbols next to the numbers in the Activity table :)
@@pickpocketpressrpgvideos6655 oupsi, I didn't check but that's great!
Hey, I am wondering if you're planning on using the back covers in the final print because they could include very handy information such as important tables, summary of rules and things such as this Loving the content otherwise, very looking forward to the physical release!
I'd like the make use of the inside covers but not sure if I'll be able to. Glad you're liking ToA so far!
@@pickpocketpressrpgvideos6655 hope you will be able to but it's okay if you're not able to You could maybe release the "back covers" documents separately if you're unable to make them inside the book but it's more of a cherry on top than really needed but it's always great Loving it and Low Fantasy Gaming was very intriguing to me for a while but never got around to it ToA's Kickstarter (with its goodies!) was the greatest entry point I could hope for
@@juauke Fabulous to hear cheers Juauke!
While I am a fan of using Oracles in an RPG, such as the Mythic GM Emulator... I can not stand dice with symbols that complicate the results. Is this a small number of possible symbols to translate? Yes. Does it slow down the process? Yes... which was even shown in this video with how the creator had to spend a few moments to decipher the meaning. For me personally, a really simple yes/no/maybe system (literally the words yes/no/maybe on the face), or an easily identified percentage system of over/under a particular number, is so much easier and keeps the momentum of the game going. Even with that said, I do hope that your kickstarter went well.
Keith the Y symbols are yeses, and the N symbols are no's - very easy to interpret the yes/no aspect. What might take time is the skull (misfortune) or sun (fortune), but you could always of course not use that die if you like. And thank you the KS went very well! :D
@pickpocketpressrpgvideos6655 I am glad that it went well. Still not a fan of symbols on dice... numbers or words are much easier to understand and keep things moving forward in a game... as I said earlier... like what is in Mythic GM. Clearly, everyone has a personal leaning towards one way or the other.
People process things differently. I count myself among a population of many that don't struggle with simple symbolic associations. So I love these dice.
The symbols look cool and are easy to interpret. Dice with yes & no printed on them would look boring, and I'm sure someone most likely already makes dice like that.
Nice. But will there be family friendly version of those available some time in the future ? Or being them on DriveThrough or KS would provide us with some templates to change illustrations?
No I dont think there will be alternative images Piotr.
I kickstarted it the minute it came out. Looks great!
Cheers mate!!
I am getting more and more excited for this game. I can see myself using the bones system in other games, I think it would make for more mixed results over normal dice. I think it might be mire fun in general tbh.
They're a fun oracle tool to be sure!
The arm sticking out of the Giant Toads mouth😂 Classic!
I know right I love that one hahah :)
Dang. That was a hoot. Great way to feature the combat system.
Just a bit of fun - glad you enjoyed it!
Where did you make the ruin hex tokens?
Gamecrafter I think. Could possibly have been Print n' Play. For tokens I do generally like Print n' Play better.
The wooden dice look sooo great!!!
The wood version will be available via Gamecrafter after the KS ends, but it's significantly more expensive to make a single set of them, compared to the engraved acrylics we're offering in the KS. I do love the wooden ones too though, hehe, more medieval style :D
@@pickpocketpressrpgvideos6655 Yeah, those are SICK! 😆
Totally! They drew me into the KS thankfully.
Excited for it all bud. Also is that the map you made for your midlands low fantasy?
That's actually my prototype map for the board game Old Mage that I tried to make last year (alas, didnt work out - though I did learn a lot about Affinity suite and how to make cards/dice etc!). Made it using Inkarnate, and printed it via Gamecrafter :D
@@pickpocketpressrpgvideos6655 nice looks cool also excited for everything wiw
These look versatile and fun as creative prompts on the fly at the table. I have a question about the map board you're using as background. Is that custom ? Or is it an actual product? If not maybe it should be. 😊
Cheers Cap, the oracles are fun tools for sure! The map actually is a prototype I made for Old Mage (a boardgame I tried to make last year, but didnt work out). It was created using Inkarnate, and then printed via Gamecrafter :D
i have a deck of sign , it'is a great oracle deck cards ! illustration osr style is beautiful !
Oh wonderful glad you're enjoying it V!!
When is the kickstarter?
In the next 24 hours actually D!
@@pickpocketpressrpgvideos6655 Fantastic! It looks superb!
The art is looking good - will have to check this out. signed up for the launch
Cheers M thanks for taking an interest. Launch will be before the end of the week :)
This is looking great. Been reading the Playtest pdf. I love it, roll on the Kickstarter!
Cheers DD! KS will be this week :D
@@pickpocketpressrpgvideos6655 awesome! 😎👍
The prototype dice looks waaay better than the final ones. Make'em out of wood.
The wooden ones will be available after the KS via Gamecrafter - but they're significantly more expensive to make a single set, compared to the acrylics we'll offer in the KS. But yes I do like the look of the wood ones, they're more "medieval" looking I think.
This looks like a cool game. I’d stick a big (OPTIONAL) on the Artficier title…it really doesn’t sit well for me with the rest of the game. Otherwise, I am tempted to back this ⭐️👍
Cheers DD - and yes we've already done that in fact (top of p.15 of the playtest doc).
@@pickpocketpressrpgvideos6655 😎👍
What would be super cool is if you could produce some conversion guidelines so one can more easily use ToA for a published OSR adventure.
I will absolutely include that in the extra 10-20 pages that will be in the final book. I've played B4 The Lost City with ToA. It's an easy conversion.
Oh damn came across this by pure luck and now I cant wait :-D
Hehe cheers & glad you found us Yag! :D
@@pickpocketpressrpgvideos6655 Well its almost at the target goal in a handful of hours insane ha good luck bud :-) backing it all right now :-)
POD or sewn-binging?
Hi Lulian this book will be sewn binding, with a ribbon :D
@@pickpocketpressrpgvideos6655 nice. Also the prototype wood dice look cooler, at least for me. Waiting for the KS.
I like the wood too - more medieval! The wooden prototype dice will be available after the KS via Gamecrafter. It is however significantly more expensive to make a single set of those (compared to the engraved acrylics we'll be offering in the KS).
@@pickpocketpressrpgvideos6655 Understandable. Waiting for the KS!
The play test PDF is amazing!

I appreciate your supplication to the Machine God :)

Thanks FB! I'll pass that onto my wife :)
Cool!
Can't wait to dive in!
Cheers WM
Hell yer.
Cheers Sean!
Waiting to back!
Not long now DM!! :D
Just discovered this from the Bandit's Keep channel. Looks really cool. I do have a question though. What is that awesome looking gameboard/map?
Oh that's actually part of the prototype map for Old Mage, that I made using Inkarnate. Very fun program to play around with :D I got the map printed as a game board via Gamecrafter.
dude this is AWESOME! even as a WIP its looking class.
Thanks so much FB!!
