I find this canal system fascinating. Too bad the audio is so bad. I followed the video link and wanted to watch the video tour of the canals but again the audio was pretty poor due to wind noise while recording.

there are 2 Samual Moodys from Hadley and Burried in South Hadley. They are my 7th and 6th Great grandfathers. Sixth GGF migrated from Hartford, CT as a founding family in Hadley.

You should do a video of the canoe and kayak access on the West Springfield side of the river off of route 5 by the cinemas... believe it's right after the flood control gates for route 5. And I'm not talking about the horrible boat ramp next to Bondi's Island, I wouldn't ask my worst enemy to go to that sewage spot😁. Its nice to watch a channel that shows the area I've lived all my life. Grew up in Springfield in the neighborhood off of Allen Street where its divided by multiple houses in the middle abd relocated to Ludlow the winter of 02. I belonged to HOLY FAMILY ,back in 1981. Was a beautiful church then. Yeah, had rectory , school and convent back in the day. Once the church closed it finally was sold.

On the corner of main and Sargent is a canal that is mostly mud and is home to a 3 ft long mirror carp that has lived in that lil of stretch of canal my whole life
