The Regimental March Of The Light Division
This song come from the Time of the Blue Bonnet Plague, a time when everybody wore Blue Bonnets.
No. The rowers of the keels in which coal was carried wore blue caps. Other people didn't - it was a kind of uniform for the rowers. The song has nothing to do with any plague - I suppose your 'blue bonnet' is a mishearing of 'bubonic'. I should have thought both the words of the song, and its musical vitality (it is in origin probably a dance) would have told you that the song has nothing to do with any plagues.
@@timothyharris4708 pretty sure it was meant to be a joke
@@billywallace4666 Ah, I lost my sense of humour at birth... Thanks for correcting me, and apologies to RL.
Beautiful, very nice.
I heard this at school and everybody was dancing I love it
I’m heading to Newcastle in may. I’m starting to brush up on your history. I’m Irish ☘️ (Dublin) I’m a big history buff. How Britain was built (Newcastle) your history is fascinating. Came across this song there and that brought me here. One I’m gonna learn and impress the locals in there local bars. 😃
Lovely, I enjoyed it but I think the chap on the right in the front row of audience didn’t enjoy it as much as I did 🤣😂
Love it, thank you for posting.
Full house, lovely work. You have a good wide age demographic. The music is enlightening. Thanks for showing.
What??? No Flute!
Would sound better with a bit of Flute.
Great video!!! :D It's peter btw xD
