Such a lovely person :) You've got total respect for nature, for wildlife and for our right to enjoy the countryside. Freedom to roam and the maintenance of our public footpaths is so important. Getting out into nature from time to time is wonderful. Have you thought about CCTV? You can install CCTV on your private land, I think you might have to put up a warning sign if it covers a footpath, not sure, you could check with your local police rural crime department?. CCTV would force dog owners to be more responsible when crossing your land or any land with livestock. CCTV is a good deterrent. Also CCTV doesn't interfere with wildlife, it's discreet and some of these more modern systems are pretty easy to install and use.

Awful, awful awful. I am a dog owner and this kind of thing really riles me. The owner of this dog needs to be prosecuted and fined the full cost of treating these injured alpacas. They should have the dog confiscated as well, and be banned from owning dogs. Those injuries are so awful to look at, it makes me hurt just looking at that poor soul.
