Best No-knead Calabrese Bread Recipe
Hi, today we’re going to be making an Italian bread known as Calabrese. It’s really delicious and we know you’ll love it!
To make this bread you will need;
3-½ cup of All-purpose Flour
1 tsp of Yeast
1-½ tsp Salt
1-½ cup of Cold Water
¾ cup of Semolina or Whole Wheat Flour
Mix your salt and flour.
Mix in the yeast.
Add the water to your flour mix and fully combine using a spatula.
Cover the top of your bowl and let the dough rest for 7-8 hours. I usually leave mine overnight.
Carefully knead the dough 7-8 times.
Pour half of your semolina flour in the bottom of a large dish. Place your dough on the semolina and then pour the remaining semolina flour over the dough.
Let the dough rise for another 45 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 450°F or 320°C and place an oven-safe pot inside to heat up.
Make sure your pot lid is not made of glass and that there is no plastic on the handles.
Once the pot is hot, place some parchment paper inside and carefully transfer your dough onto the parchment paper.
Put on the pot lid and bake the bread in the oven for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, remove the pot lid and let the bread bake for an additional 20-25 minutes.
